  • That smile isn't horrible! You look cute! I'm so jealous of everyone going to Wizard World. That thing was like my personal idea of heaven. Okay, admittedly, any place that has Sebastian Stan is heaven but you guys also got Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie AND Tom Hiddleston! I'm going to my first con next year and it was a…
  • I'm late to the party here, but I think that's actually one of the key things. I think it's more about stereotyping than just sexism alone. It's more about what society sees as typically male or typically female. As a female in the gaming scene you're usually okay as long as you 'go with it' and act like 'one of the guys'.…
  • Hey all! I'm Kathy from good old Germany. I'm 33 and my super-power is uh...I don't know. I can drink water from a cup without spilling any. At least sometimes. On a good day. Y'know... I love games (currently playing Fallout 4, still obsessed with The Witcher 3 and always dabbling around in Stardew Valley and WoW) and TV…
  • Ah, I see. I think I'll borrow it from the library some time try that. Thank you. :)
  • Does it usually take a moment to grow on you if you're playing it for the first time? Because I see DA:I mentioned so often everywhere and people are obsessed with it. I got to play it for an hour or two once and it didn't really catch my interest, even though it looks like exactly the kind of game I'd enjoy. Think a…
  • I'm in the same place. For me, it's almost a psychological battle. Like when I get up in the morning and think of what I have to do all day (work, be active, cook, etc.) I actually get really grumpy and unreasonable when I find I'll have less than a couple hours left for gaming or reading or writing or whatever. It's as…
  • The 'person above' threads are the bane of my existence. I know, I know. Be an adult, Kathy. Scroll past them, Kathy. Let people have their fun, Kathy. Well, I'm trying, okay????? *breathes into paperbag*
  • So after I finished The Witcher 3, I've now started to play Fallout 4 more seriously and what do you know? I don't suck as much as I thought.
  • That is so sweet! :D All my mom ever plays is stuff like Zuma and free crappy games that she'll find on the websites of grocery stores as freebies.
  • Okay, okay, the past few weeks have turned me into pure and utter Gotham trash. Anyone with me?
  • I finished The Witcher 3 and OMG hello, withdrawal. Luckily, there are still the add-ons but I wanna finish other games first.
  • Haha, we all should get on WoW or something and make a social anxiety guild where we do stuff together but never talk. :p
  • I haven't had time to play much in the last couple weeks. But I'm definitely going for Harvey, too. He's such a precious little nerd. Btw, rgbmore and everyone else who worries about this, don't worry if you mess up the first season (or year), the game isn't very linear in its story progress and if you forget or can't do…
  • I wish it would run smoothly on my laptop or that it was available on the PS4. But I see what you mean. Coming from the insanely easy WoW that basically does the quests for you, I found it hard to get back to finding my own way around.
  • Oh my! This thread reminded me that I've had an untouched can of B&J's pumpkin pie ice cream in the freezer for over a month! :o For you Americans, it isn't anything special but pumpkin-anything is so rare here. Also, I'm not a vegan / vegetarian but I'm always in the market for some good alternatives to meat / dairy…
  • PSN and Steam: onedarkflame336
  • Same here. I keep saying I'll get back to it and then I forget. :( I'd probably have to start all over again because I've forgotten so much.
  • Oh god, voice chat! *breathes into paperbag* When I was new to GTA Online, I joined this session with strangers and suddenly they started talking and I just dropped the gamepad and was like O.O Luckily they were some Spanish people and just talking amongst themselves, not expecting me to pitch in.
  • Gronkh. He's German, though. I like him because he's so calm and collected and doesn't cut his videos when he sucks at a game which makes me feel better about how bad I am at some games. :D
  • The only one I watch regularly on Youtube and Twitch is Gronkh, a German player. I keep meaning to branch out and check US / international players but they always seem so loud and hyper. I need to have a proper look around one day.
  • I'm the same. I struggle with social anxiety, even online, so I don't play many social games. Pretty much just WoW. How I deal with those players depends on in what way they're being rude. I had a person pretty much stalking me ingame just to keep telling me that my gear sucked, I should get this and that, yadda yadda, but…
  • I bought it because my favourite Youtuber played it and I've basically waved my life goodbye ever since. It's so addictive and there's always something new to discover. Of course, I'm a sucker for the cute retro pixel graphics but it's still amazing how much you fall in love with those little townies. :)
  • Hey all, nice to meet you. I'm Kathy and I'm 33. I love video games. On the PS4, I play The Witcher 3, Fallout 4, GTA Online, Farcry Primal, Elder Scrolls Online and Minecraft. On the PC, I play The Sims 4, WoW (EU realms) and Stardew Valley, sometimes Banished and Cities Skylines I'm on a mission to lose about half my…
  • Oh thanks! I didn't even know this group existed. :) I love video games. I'm semi-obsessed with so many games right now but figured I'm losing out on so much stuff if I keep hopping between them, so I've forced myself to pause Fallout 4, Farcry Primal and Elder Scrolls Online in favour of finishing The Witcher 3. On my PC,…
  • You never know. Maybe those people's MFP is broken and they can't remove friends later, so when they add someone, it's a life long commitment. But yeah, I love to fill out 250+ questions to apply for the position of someone's 'Hey, I know you from that website and we're probably never gonna meet'-friend.
  • Chicken or turkey all the way. I'm okay with beef when it's served but will always opt for chicken if I can choose.
  • Duisburg, Germany
  • I'm definitely a Hufflepuff, too. But I don't know what you have to do to join here since the group is so quiet? :(
  • Thanks for the reply, guys. I decided to give it a go. One of the sellers gives a discount if you buy three or more, so even if they don't last very long, I'll be set for a while. :) @Maryanne1923 Wow, that's great service! I didn't know FB were so good about it.
  • Ah, no no no, wrist is a walk in the park, really. Most places along the arms are fine, except elbow, armpit, etc. Just make sure they don't move it up too close to the hand, basically nowhere near the wrinkles where you bend your hand. The ink tends to bleed out in places like that which get moved and bent a lot.
