Air fryer. It fries foods without oil. I'm eating "fried" chicken and cauliflower tots (sounds gross but they are little bites of heaven!) right now. OP, I have the same problem. I crave all that stuff too. I'm told that if I'm patient my tastes will change. Here's hoping!

I know you're being sarcastic but I'm going to answer this as if the question was serious: No, eating a french fry does not exactly clear my thinking, and I haven't been able to stop at one fry since I was 5 (not an excuse. We all have something that we fight; this is mine) but if I eat the fries I stop obsessing over them…

Sorry, that's me. No matter how drunk I get I don't wake up hungover, just ravenously hungry for fast food.

Fantastic self-control always counts! Especially when we're talking McDonald's fries! :D

My mom used to do this. If she used green jello it counted (in her mind) as a vegetable . . . ah, the 70s!!

It sounds like it would taste similar to salsa and sour cream on crudité, which is how I eat salsa and crudité. I'll have to try the cottage cheese for the protein.

I'm having this same problem right now, but not from my staff. I'm having trouble explaining it to the vendors that cater the luncheons, bring bagels, doughnuts, cookies, etc. I'm always asked, "Really? You don't want a free meal/doughnut/bagel/cookie? Are you sure? We have plenty, just one won't hurt you. . . " and on and…

Yeah it is. If I stop eating fast food I get headaches, fuzzy thinking, lethargy, irritability and cravings that keep me up and wake me up at night. I feel just like I did when I quit smoking (and nobody argues that's addictive, right?) I don't care what anyone says, I know what I feel and some peer-reviewed scientific…

^^This. I would probably try to explain a few times then I would give up. I have little patience for people who play games like this. Maybe if you suggest (nicely) that she log her food intake for a couple of days to see what she's really eating. Or just suggest that's how YOU got started. She may not even realize how many…

This one may have already been addressed but . . . horrible body odor. ETA: I once dated a guy who showered quite frequently but he still had the rankest BO. I couldn't stand it.

I've never tried this but I might have to. It sounds intriguing.

Everything I've ever read or heard from respected sources says this^^ is a bad idea. In fact, eating a mid-morning snack is more often recommended. I always eat a mid-morning snack of a complex carb and protein. An apple with unsweetned peanut butter, or something like that. That always helps me. I plan for it and log it…

In 2002, after 20 years my husband (now ex-husband) left me. I filed for divorce 3 days later. It would have been sooner but he left me on a long weekend. I lost 40 lbs in the next 4 months. People who hadn't seen me since my divorce told me how great I looked. When they asked how I did it, I told them, "I lost 220 lbs of…

Mustard, reduced sugar ketchup, salsa, cooking spray, diet soda, coffee, unsweetened tea, pickles, diet juice. On the other hand I only eat back about 1/2 of my exercise calories. I'm pretty sure that will cover any lapse. Especially since I only have two or three of the unlogged foods/day.

It is for me.

I don't know how accurate my activity tracker is, but I suspect it's fairly precise. As I get older I've noticed that my activity tracker gives me fewer calories for the same amount of exercise. If I run at 3.5 mph for an hour (typical for me) I used to get ~345 calories added to my mfp calorie "budget." Now, a couple of…

Congrats on your decision to go to the gym! When I first started I was intimidated by the lifters too. Eventually I downloaded an app that got me started but if you're not ready for that and don't want to spend the money for a trainer, what about using the elliptical? Since it creates resistance for both upper and lower…

About twice a day a healthcare vendor will bring in doughnuts, cookies, etc. Sometimes it's even "healthy" stuff like fruit or vegetables dipped in high fat ranch dressing. For the past week I've told each vendor, "Thanks but I don't eat anything I didn't bring." One became pretty insistent ("But just a bite won't hurt!")…

Tomatoes. I have hated them all my life. Sister Mary Gertrude made me eat them in third grade even though I told her they make me vomit. So I ate two bites and puked on her sensible black shoes. She said I did it on purpose and sent me to the principal! Lol

Fantastic! What a great idea! ETA: You look amazing!

I'm literally watching "Whose Line is it Anyway?" when I stumbled on this meme. LOL

Coffee has a lot of acid which the half n half alleviates. Since black coffee makes my stomach burn, I use either unsweetened soy or almond milk in my coffee. Regular milk would work too if you prefer dairy. Milk (of any kind) would also give some nice vitamin and mineral benefits.
