Me too! That horrible bitter taste of Stevia makes me gag!

From the land of such heavenly foods as pancit and adobo chicken comes balut!

Whether you recognize it or not, offering you extra food is passive/aggressive behavior and shows that he is ambivalent about your weight loss. He may be afraid you will leave him once you gain your fabulous new body. Ask him to stop offering you food and tell him your goals, maybe focus on the health aspect of your…

Peanuts. The Christmas cartoon and I were born the same year. The Christmas season never started (still doesn't) until I watched the Peanuts Christmas special!

Sounds like you're trying to do too much too fast. If you feel your chest hurting and develop labored breathing stop what you're doing! If you are determined to run there is a C2K app (actually there are several) that teach you how to increase the running incrementally but changing your activity might be better. It's too…

Count me in! I can seem my butt widening with every passing day and donut! :D

Burning pain usually means neural (nerve) pain. Alternating ice and heat (alternate every 15 mins. as long as you can during the day) may help. Rest is imperative and really slow, careful exercise (like gentle stretching.) Try not to stand, sit or walk for an extended period because that may aggravate the problem (I know!…

If you are prone to binges, not eating your calories back is a really good way to start bingeing. If you are not prone to bingeing, you may start because this:

It gets a bad rap but I use Nutrisystem for breakfast, lunch, snack and protein shake because it fits into my life better than anything else, then measure and log my dinner and any other snacks I may want. I've tried low carb, Fuhrman, vegan, vegetarian, etc., diet and failed them because I didn't like the food. I love…

I used to think the same thing. One day I just decided I was too old to care what anyone else thought so I began swimming at my gym. I had such a wonderful time. Know what? I can't remember one other person in that pool - what they looked like, what shape they were in or anything! I doubt they remember me, either. Swim,…

That's wonderful! You look amazing!

At my request, my son locks his treats up in a cabinet that we've dedicated for that purpose. He tends to eat junk foods that I binge on, so that's our compromise. Working a little into your food plan is a possibility, too, unless you just feel like you can't control yourself. In that case, since ice cream is your…

Really? Because this is from the article you referenced: "Also important: Buying a product with an "organic" label did not reduce the chances of getting a less-contaminated product. In fact, organic protein supplements had higher levels of heavy metals, on average, than nonorganic." Guess you should have read it before…

I like this idea. I'm taking my son out to a restaurant for his birthday tomorrow night. I think I'll use this. Thank you.

Why don't you just say that? "It's nothing personal, just rather not chat." If you feel that's too harsh and you need to elaborate, add that you need to concentrate on your workout. If that doesn't work 1. Grunt really loud during all of your lifts. 2. Scream "lightweight baby!" after you're done a set. 3. Find the biggest…

I love the analogy. I'm letting you know that I am "borrowing" it the next time I have to explain why I'm not eating a co-worker's birthday cake! :D

How true!! OP I have a problem with this too. I work in a hospital and someone is always bringing donuts, cookies, etc., or having a birthday (which equals cake, of course!) I now log and prepare my food the night before. When I'm offered the unhealthy stuff, I politely tell them no thank you, I only eat what I bring to…

That reminds me of:

About four months after my ex-husband left, I'd lost about 30 pounds and was the thinnest I'd been in 15+ years. People who hadn't seen me since my divorce would ask me how much weight I'd lost. I told them, "I lost 220 unwanted pounds on September 16, 2002." When they asked me how I lost all that weight in one day, I told…

When my (now ex) left me and I filed for divorce, I considered that I'd already lost ~200 lbs of unwanted weight. After that, weight loss was easy (I stopped stress eating!) In other words, see this as a positive change and you're well on your way to your revenge body! That, and you don't have to fix food for him anymore…

Researchers have had some success treating sleep paralysis. The link below is a fairly reliable source regarding sleep paralysis: https://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/guide/sleep-paralysis#1

Actually, I would say, "Link a peer reviewed study. I just did a quick search on Google Scholar trying to prove that soda, tea, etc., was equal to water and found: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3577072/ . This shows some causation between soda, tea, coffee, etc., usage in dehydration and linked it to…

I commute to work so I belong to two gyms, one near my home, one near my work. I pay $14/month for one and $10/month for the other (no, not Planet Fitness.) The $10 one is pretty basic but the $14 one has pool, sauna, dry sauna, towel service, child care, and classes included, and I can use any of their locations.

It depends on what you want the tracker for. I have a Misfit Swarovski crystal. My son gave it to me for Mothers' Day two years ago and I'm never without it. I use it for motivation because I like to track my activity but I take the advantages and drawbacks into consideration too because my Misfit isn't magick, after all.…

Or apples. I noticed they are listed too.

Love this advice.

OP, I'm leaving for a cruise next week. I was kinda wondering the same thing.
