I don't shave at the gym, I dunno why, it just weirds me out a little lol. I just have a quick shower to wash off my body and everything else (shaving, wet washing my hair) I do once a week at home.

went to gay pride with like a thousand people milling about with my stomach exposed. I've never been this comfortable in and confident about my body in my life. it feels amazing

I started with 15lbs. and I definitely don't increase by 5 pounds every single time. sometimes I get stuck on something for quite a while before I get to the point of not struggling to finish the 5 sets - most notably, OHP and bench press. that's fine, normal, it's just the way it is.

i'm 5'3 but close enough :P I was eating around 1200 to lose and MFP thinks my maintenance will be 1500.

I started out using fixed weight bars, started with a mere 15lb bar to focus on my form and get my strength up. just over 2 months later, I'm squatting 100lbs. so absolutely, yes, start wherever you need to!

1. I'm interested in anything that promotes self love because it's something I'm trying to learn/do. 2. just generally having to stick to a small amount of calories because up until I went on an atypical antipsychotic which (hopefully temporarily) *kitten* up my metabolism, I could always eat whatever I wanted, as much as…

today's lunch will be leftovers from last night's dinner - lasagna hamburger helper (but made with ground chicken)

I had perogies with plum sauce

I log everything every day

got my squat up to 100 pounds today! and lost an inch around my stomach, and a half inch from my neck :)

I'm currently weaning off seroquel. it did some good things for me. if you don't mind me asking, what are you taking it for? what symptoms are you trying to control? it sounds like antipsychotics may not be the right kind of med for you if they're not doing what you want them to.

^ agreed, most likely your rate of loss is just slowing. also, 30 pounds lost will alter the amount of calories your body needs, have you gone into your settings and saved them so that MFP will re-calculate your deficit based on your new weight?
-
make sure to go into your settings and hit save after every ten pounds so that MFP re-calculates your deficit. not that that's going to make a HUGE difference, but still.
-
I've lost 29 of my 30 pounds

I do stronglifts 5x5 and if I feel up to it I do a 10 minute run on the treadmill after. I also walk a lot, almost every day, including to and from the gym.

smoothie made with vanilla milk 2 go sport, frozen berries, and mocha instant coffee powder
-
I always make a smoothie for breakfast on gym days because it's quick and easy and I use frozen fruit/berries in it which I wouldn't want to eat solid and frozen lol. it also means I can make it with some protein-enhanced milk and some instant coffee for my morning caffiene so that I don't have to sit around sipping on a…

hung out at the beach yesterday in a bikini top. no way that would have happened last summer! felt so awesome to feel confident enough about my body to do it
-
I haven't done anything special, just eating within my given calorie deficit. and only logging half of my exercise minutes so that I only eat back half of my exercise calories.
-
I can be up as early as the sun is up. so in summer I become an early riser but in winter I have a hell of a time getting out of bed while it's still dark out.
-
I'm 5'3, I had 30 pounds to lose and I've lost 29 of them  if anyone would like to have me as a friend, as someone who's lost the weight, you're welcome to add me
-
happy to report that I've lost 29 of my 30 pounds

not true. seroquel causes something called metabolic syndrome, which causes weight gain among other health issues, including lots of fat in the stomach specifically. which explains why after my entire life of being able to eat whatever I wanted, as much as I wanted, and not ever gain a pound, after being on Seroquel for a…
-
because seroquel is a weird drug in that the bigger the dose, the LESS sedating it is. when I was taking 150-250mg, I was taking it in the afternoon because it didn't make me sleepy. now that I'm down to 75mg, I take it shortly before bed and you better believe it makes me sleepy.
-
yep. being treated for my mental health problems allows me to be functioning enough to work on my physical health. are you being treated?
-
I can't eat when I'm stressed either. but I can usually manage to eat some snacky foods that I normally would have trouble fitting into my daily calories - a big serving of ice cream, or a bag of chips, lol. it's better than no calories at all.

roasted with some seasonings and lemon or lime juice
