Lean means absent of fat so yes, technically all muscle is lean. It's common knowledge that lean muscle is a concept related to lean body mass - no it's not the scientific term, but we all knew what OP meant. Instead of offering some friendly advice people were more happy to correct her use of the (popular - much used)…

Maybe he's a little people.

Need more info. What weight are you striving for? Current weight? When you say you started with extreme calorie intake I assume you are an accomplished bodybuilder as this method is not recommended for most.

Alright buddy, give it a rest lol

People get annoyed by different things, I get that you're trying to be to good guy here, but this is the internet and you're wasting your time. I wear thongs and makeup to the gym and don't really GAF if this annoys someone or if they freely post about it on the internet. Bad form annoys me. Should it? No. It shouldn't.…

People who don't lock the door to the bathroom (I go to small gym with 4 private bathrooms). I saw a guys junk last month and it was extremely awkward.
-
They're so lucky to have a voice through you! lol but seriously..this is a thread complaining about gym etiquette, not a thread complaining about people complaining about gym etiquette.
-
Wait what? Do you mean only a thong? Or under their pants? Pretty sure 99% of women wear thongs to the gym under their pants...

I did one. I'm not a fan of them. They're not to be taken too seriously as most people cheat during them.

How much is too much?

They don't think it's odd, they react that way because they don't have the ambition to do it and are trying to take you don't a few notches to make themselves feel better. I get comments like that all the time about the time I spend at the gym. People feel inferior so they try to justify their laziness by putting down or…

People who squat a high weight with bad form. It ticks me off because they think they're squatting more than me, but anyone can throw a few plates on the bar and bend their knees a bit.
-
Heavy lifting is just lifting to exertion and adding weight as needed. If you bench press the bar only and max out after a few reps, that would still be considered "heavy lifting". So "heavy" is relative to the individual. Anyways - my current stats Squat - 130 Overhead press - 40 I don't bench press (gasp)

Just want to add that I'm a female who just put on 12 lbs over 5 months for my first bulk (hesitantly), sure I'm thicker than I was, but I feel stronger and certainly don't feel fat - I made some great gains. Once the bulk is over you will be so psyched to see what's "under the layers" that you will actually look forward…

I think this is pretty common for first timers. Have you ever done a bulk before? Judging from your avatar you look like you would benefit hugely from it. You have to have complete trust in the process. Cutting weight is also much easier after a bulk so keep that in the back of your mind when you're feeling a little…

It's definitely a mental thing. You won't get fat as long as you're lifting heavy. I went from 129 to 142 and the gain was hardly noticeable, I might go as far as to say I looked better at 142 with muscle mass than I did at 129 with minimal muscle mass.

"All muscle is lean muscle" just quoting what I originally said.

Some people kids!!

Actually all muscle is lean muscle. OP it's okay, we knew what you meant. For gaining lean mass I would suggest doing a bulk and cut. What is your current routine?
-
How much weight are you trying to cut? If possible I would start with a bulk, rather than a cut (unless you have a substantial amount of fat to lose).
-
Recently finished a 5 month bulk which resulted in a substantial amount of gains. I just started my cut last week.
-
I recommend upping your calories. I just came off of a 5 month bulk (currently cutting now). I at at a 300 - 500 surplus per day and ended up gaining 10 lbs. The quickest way to build muscle is with a bulk.
