Jikonimagic on YouTube has plenty of Kenyan recipes. Some of the are low calorie to start ( Katchumbari), others you will have to adapt.

It has to deal with BMI and additional health problems (heart disease, diabetes, kidney issues, etc.) Although people think of it as weight loss surgery it's really to keep those other problems from progressing, and possibly reverse them.
