Thank you for the new thread! As of yesterday, I was down to 141 but I'm back up a pound today so it'll even out sometime this week. I'm almost back to my pre-baby weight. We will be heading to Costa Rica in 5 weeks so I'm hoping to make some decent progress before then so I can feel better about the mombod in a bathing…

This entire website that you're currently on is the program. It provides all the direction people need. And it's free. This pyramid scheme garbage, on the other hand, is completely predatory and unneccessary.

You are NOT this woman's doctor and you are not more of an authority than an organization like the March of Dimes. Even obese women should gain weight. Stop.
-
The March of Dimes and pretty much every health organization would disagree with you. This is honestly one of the most dangerous comments I've ever seen on here. https://www.marchofdimes.org/pregnancy/weight-gain-during-pregnancy.aspx

I don't know that anyone could answer that because it's so subjective. People come in different heights and carry weight in different places and have different body compositions. Each person loses weight in different areas of their body as well. It took me 20 pounds to go from a size 12 to a size 8. I'm very short and that…

Moderation. There isn't any one thing I plan to give up for the rest of my life and I'm never going back to being obese again, so I'm learning now how to fit all of the things I enjoy into my life in a way that upholds all of the time and effort I put into losing the weight. Old me used to think it had to be about…

Completely smashed my March goal and I have 1.6 pounds to go until I'm back to my starting weight. I'm not really sure what ultimate goal weight I should be going toward. I think 132 is the top of a normal BMI for my height but I think I'd like to lose a little more than that. How did everyone decide what their goal weight…

I'm 142 (started at 195) and 5'1". The lowest I've ever weighed as an adult is 128. I have way more muscle now so I'm pretty much aiming for that as my goal now just to see what I look like.
-
If that question is for me, this is how: I put my stats into MFP, I bought a food scale, and I weigh and measure everything I eat and drink. I lift heavy to retain more muscle while I lose. That's pretty much it.
-
I've lost weight twice with MFP. I'm 5'1". The first set is after losing 70 pounds in 2016. I was over 200 pounds when I started and lost down to 130. This second set is currently in progress after losing 52 pounds from my last pregnancy. The first photo is a progress shot since I don't have one from the very beginning.…

The more people talk to me about what their ideas of weight loss consist of, the more that explanation makes sense to me. Humans are just bad at being patient and planning long-term for anything. I have one friend who insisted she could not lose weight if she ate more than 1000 calories a day doing some meal replacement…

I've had this conversation a few times with people who are chronic yo-yo, fad dieters within my circle. They've seen how successful I've been with losing weight and always ask about it. At first they INSIST that they can't ever lose weight unless they cut out whole food groups, exercise excessively, create extreme…

I had my first kid in 2007 and had four more since then and the general advice I've always been told is to "eat intuitively" while breastfeeding to take extra weight off. So eat when you're hungry, stop when you're full. That works for some people but for those of us who tend to eat everything in sight (like me) it…

I ate three pieces of chocolate cake last night and was down .6 pounds this morning. Imagine how much you could lose with chocolate cake AND pizza.

A half a pound. I'll take it. The little lady wants Olive Garden for her birthday dinner. And she's having a My Little Pony chocolate birthday cake for dessert. Pretty sure that half pound will be gone tomorrow  Height: 5'1" HW: 195 SW March: 148.2 Ultimate goal: 130 would be outstanding. March goal: Nailed my…

This was true for my grandparents. I had dinner with them at least once a week and there were things they would not eat that they had frequently during the war (WWII). Stuff like spam or other processed food was out of the question because my grandfather refused to eat it. My grandmother was a great cook though so it was…

My mom didn't really cook because she worked. When she cooked, it was anything casserole-like with all of the ingredients coming out of a can or jar. I grew up on mayonnaise sandwiches and kool-aid full of sugar. I bought lunch at school. I taught myself how to cook by the time I was 9 or 10, and learned how to grill meat…

I use MFP while breastfeeding and have for 11 months to get 55 pounds of baby weight off, plus some extra bonus weight. I've lost 52 so far. Many breastfeeding moms here set their account to maintain their current weight and let baby create the deficit. That's what I've done and it works well for me, but I've had weeks…

I still eat fast food and from restaurants. I just try to make choices about what foods provide the most volume for the lowest calorie expense because many of those foods tend to be calorie dense and not worth it as far as satiation goes for me. So for example, if I get a burger calorie bomb, I'm going to get a salad on…

That's pretty much all I've been doing now that I'm closer to goal. I'm expecting one sometime this week. Eventually you just come to anticipate it and it won't bother you anymore.

@asherje See my long post above.

I'm going to tag you in another breastfeeding thread so you can see the info I gave about losing weight while nursing.

I can personally verify this as a female. Things look WAY better for this round of weight loss after lifting consistently for two years. A calorie deficit is what makes the fat come off, but lifting can help you retain more muscle and make everything look a heck of a lot better once you hit your goal weight, thus avoiding…

Use the recipe builder. Add all of your ingredients for your salads, including the oil you use for your chicken. Each serving (I assume you're meal prepping) will have the calories calculated for you.

Also a mom of 5 in my 30's. I had my 5th baby 11 months ago today. I'm down 52 pounds and have 3 pounds of baby weight left, and then I'd like to lose another 15-20 pounds. Feel free to add me :)

Holding steady at 143. I feel super bloated so I'm sure that's doing some masking. Tomorrow is child #4's fourth birthday. This is what I call birthday season in my house because we have a birthday almost every month until November. I just have to make sure I spread the extra calories from cake and special dinners out over…

I just want to reiterate what medical professionals recommend for weight loss while breastfeeding to counter the bro-science that was posted: If you have excess weight to lose, a doctor or midwife or lactation consultant will tell you to eat "intuitively" while breastfeeding in order to help the weight come off. In other…

Or they can, ya know, use the app the way it's intended. Thanks, though, bro.

You can add me :)
