This is even going to be a kidless vacation. Just me and two of my friends. How am i not involuntarily pumping my fist in the air?

I miss the anticipation for trips that i felt as a kid. As an adult it sometimes just feels more stressy than excited

Yesterday i messaged a friend a big long diatribe about my day/life and ranted about a few things. I finally asked “but how are you?” The message i got back was: I am fine That was it. I laughed so hard, still laughing about it today in fact

Last night i was laying with my daughter before bed when my son came in and asked if he could have the cat. My daughter grumpily said no and my son said “that’s not fair, you don’t get to have Mom AND the cat!” That made me smile pretty big.

I wish i could pull it off. I mean i wear them regardless but i look silly
