ಠ_ಠ Might as well make a toothpaste out of turmeric, red wine, tobacco, and coffee. Don't forget the coconut oil to kill all the toxxxxinnnnsz! I think somebody already mentioned this, but Gluten-free labels are often helpful for people with serious sensitivity to gluten because there are crops (oats, for example) that are…

ManniGOT! And GavaDEEL!

More like nut tea. I am usually curious enough to try things that become popular and if I like them, I am happy to have another option in my pantry. So I don't really understand why people are so repulsed by things in this thread just because they are popular. Chia seeds are pretty much flavorless when sprinkled in…

Just wanted to add that it was my southern boy husband who introduced me to Velveeta (and Rotel). He also introduced me to grits. Not runny grainy grits like what gets served in diners. Creamy, cooked-in-milk and a stick of butter grits. And eating pork ribs and greens and black eyed peas on New Year's Day. I just used the…

I am from the north east area of the US and grew up with meat and vegetables (German descent) for dinner. I can't see cheesy noodles as a main dish/dinner unless maybe when I was a poor college student. :) If it has some meat in it, then I feel a lot better about it - like lasagna as long as it has meat sauce. Or something…

It's kinda like sliced velveeta texture-wise. Kinda gummy. Taste-wise, it's hard without having some right in front of me, but I'd say somewhere between mild cheddar and hotdog.

I guess I didn't do it right when I tried them before, but I couldn't choke them down. Too rubbery. Too stanky from the package. (Yes, I rinsed them, but caught a whiff that really turned me off). I'd rather spiralize something, maybe shred some cabbage or jicama for my stir fry.

I know what a roux is and I use cheddar cheese to make mac and cheese, but I admit to have microwaved a block of velveeta with a can of rotel tomatoes. Pretty good as a dip.

You had me until you added Velveeta 0_o Now if you said cream cheese, I'd be all over that.

I do like the idea of cooking things that typically take all day in a shorter period of time. And the yogurt function is intriguing. We'll see. I have been told that Amazon discounts them heavily on Black Friday, so maybe that will push me over. What's your favorite use for it? I'd probably want to try ribs first.

I was curious about the air-fryer, but much more tempted by the Instant Pot. People are crazy for them! Haven't bought either... I am quite frugal, don't want to relinquish any more counter space, and have several other unused gadgets stored in boxes taking up precious storage space.

Those look like Mallomars that we have in the US, but without the central fruit blob

I felt that way until I tried White Lindor Truffles. Love them, but definitely prefer dark chocolate.

I saw Tim Tams at Target the other day. Wish I bought them now...

There are many non-doctor-prescribed substances that help alleviate symptoms of illness. But they cannot be prescribed by doctors due to strict regulations, tightly controlled regimens of care directed by insurance companies and their restrictions on what they will pay doctors for, and because there are no clinical trials…

I just got Strong Curves and The NROLFW from the library. Excited to try something new!

I thought you were joking when you used the term "skin barnacles". What a horrifying thought! Then Iooked up what they were. TIL I have skin barnacles.

They are encouraging eating fruits and vegetables (which I get), but as you found out, if you play it wrong, you'll stop losing weight.

And bananas!

It is not usually advisable to go below 1200 regularly, but it is OK on occasion. You don't want to risk malnutrition, but for somebody your size, it is probably less likely. Try eating just a bit more earlier in the day. Use more butter, have some nuts. If you really can't get to 1200 during the week, you can save up…

Some vegetables and fruits are "free-er" than others. Peas, carrots, and corn are more expensive calorie-wise than a similar volume of leafy greens, but variety is the spice of life and you can and should eat whatever you like, just maybe less of some things. Pick the ones that have the highest amount of fiber. And don't…

Are you asking if it is too much or too little? If you have lost 1 stone since July, it sounds like you are losing at a sustainable rate. If you are eating at a deficit and losing weight, you don't need to worry about storing fat.

Me too. I just always saw it as something 'future me' would do. 51 now, but I am now feeling like 'future me.' :)

If you want to try IF to help regulate your calorie intake, then your 50 calorie coffee is negligible -- you are still delaying your first meal of the day. If you are in it for insulin control, then no coffee creamer. What are your goals for IF? I am hypothyroid and I do between 16:8 and 18:6 fasting most days. Some of the…

Yes. "Concierge doctors" are popping up a lot around my area. The up front cost makes it prohibitive to many - you typically pay a bunch up front and get a year of care and routine tests. I came *thisclose* to signing up. But there was a waiting list and wound up going to another off-grid doctor who was pay per visit. The…

I see where you are coming from, but I think it could be misinterpreted by some to mean that they have to exercise until they burn off 2400 calories. If 1900 is already a deficit set by MFP, no extra burn is needed. You don't have to exercise at all to lose weight if you eat within your calorie limit. MFP will already give…

Most people lose lean muscle at the same time as losing fat. You can minimize it by eating adequate protein and exercising.
