  • Some people experience alien abduction first-hand.
  • She says she can't because it's part of her job. In that case, she either needs to change her way of thinking about it, or change jobs.

  • * No. It will mean you are normal. * Why do you make fun of people? Is it to feel better about yourself? At any rate, you need to stop making fun of people. * No. It will mean you have a healthy frame of mind, unlike now. Being ashamed of your body is no way to live.
  • Don't let people push your buttons like that.

  • Shia LaBeouf knows how to help you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXsQAXx_ao0
  • Why not?
  • Your kidneys and liver already do a fantastic job of "detoxing" you! Be wary of any product that claims to remove toxins or jump start weight loss. The only thing they'll do is lighten your wallet. ;)
  • Oh dear. No one is getting angry. There's a lot of concern for you, and good advice, but no anger. I hope you find what you need.

  • Nice try, fake Annie Williams, but you lack the sheer panache of the original. 2/10
  • Honestly? I would put my money on drunk-posting.
  • Congrats on going cold turkey! That's awesome! As for weight loss motivation, like all motivation it's best if it comes from within yourself. Start with something small, like buying a scale and weighing your food. Make that a habit, then add another small one to it! Alternatively, try swapping a high calorie food for a…
  • You know you messed up when Kermit's disappointed in you.
  • It's like there are two different MFP worlds. Chit chat and everything else.
  • I think you are that person.
  • You look way different without the mustache! ;) (Just teasing! You're beautiful!)
  • Thank you!
  • I'll bite. What would happen?
  • * Electrolytes aren't hormones; and you didn't answer the question: If you're body could burn less just like that, why doesn't it do that all the time? * Certain medical conditions can affect CO. Taking steroids for medical reasons would also affect your CO (and how your body stores fat) but not negate it entirely. * Are…
  • Interesting you should say that, because not too long ago there was a thread about a lady who approached a smoker and made a lame joke about how smoking ruins her hair. She was ripped to shreds in the comments for not minding her own business.
  • I use both in my smoothies because they have different types of fiber and I like the balance. 15 grams of each. Weigh carefully because they're high in calories.
  • I love to bake and use both cups and my scale, depending. I'm sorry that other countries can't grasp a simple concept like measuring cups.
  • Worrying about processed salt is like worrying about processed water. https://www.sciencebasedmedicine.org/pass-the-salt-but-not-that-pink-himalayan-stuff/
  • There goes another kitten. I hope you're happy, @kronin23. Was it worth it??
  • I see your point. If all I knew about vegans was Freely, I'd be skeptical about veganism. I hear about HAES mostly in the context of some of the more negative/crazy things that are said and done by certain ones who are like SJWs for themselves and consider themselves an oppressed minority. I certainly hope that their…
  • I would daresay that some of the most vocal proponents of HAES don't try to improve their health and berate people who do try to lose weight. They don't simply misinterpret it, they twist it's original meaning entirely.
  • Sardines = ick = sadness --> donuts = happiness etc. QED
  • I disagree that it's unhelpful. As for being incomplete, I agree that there is a serious lack of nutrition education in many countries, but CICO can be a good--not necessarily the only--starting point for people who want to learn. But yes, it shouldn't be the only component of said education. Many people here take pains to…
  • @Crisseyda It's like this: CICO is like saying a car needs fuel to run. It's a basic fact. But, if a car owner wants to get the most out of his vehicle, he will be sure to put in high quality fuel and perform regular maintenance. It would be stupid of him to put in too much fuel (so the tank overflows) or too little fuel…
  • Once again, CICO =/= counting calories. Counting is just a tool. The ONLY time anyone loses weight is when CI<CO, no matter how that's achieved. And of course nutrition/hormonal effects of foods matter. No one says they don't, but you keep posting as if they do.
  • I think some people believe that, if left to their own devices--in the absence of a rigid dietary plan--most people following CICO will behave like children and fill up on cookies and junk food as long as they stay within their calorie goals. That's why we always hear strawmen about Twinkies vs. broccoli or chicken breast.
