Hi OP. I'm sorry I don't have any words of wisdom to offer you, but I wish you strength and peace in your life. <3

Ummm, I don't like the Bill Cosby one very much. Seems creepy. :/
-
That's awesome about your weight loss! Hang in there! You've been dealt a tough hand with both PCOS and BPD but you can have lots of success if you play your cards right. :) Stay focused on your health and the rest should follow. <3
-
Me too, but I get the feeling this was another 'social experiment'. :/
-
You weigh under 100 lbs and he called you a pig? Something doesn't add up...
-
Whoa, I feel like we stepped into an episode of The Twilight Zone! Quite a plot twist there, OP!
-
I couldn't find it either. :/
-
Did the other thread that said basically the same get deleted? The one that turned into abstinence vs moderation?
-
Are you drinking so much of it to suppress hunger? Is your family worried about your eating habits?
-
You're reading things that no one said, but if that's how you see things-- as long as they are giving proper medical attention and keeping their opinions to themselves, nothing else matters. And if you are an empathetic nurse who doesn't judge or blame, kudos! But please don't tell someone they are healed when what you…

Amongst other things, darn tootin'!

Please see a doctor! It could be causing damage that you don't know about until it's too late.
-
I love it when they center around conspiracies!

You are a nurse? ETA: I ask only because I would hope expect that any nurse treating a loved one of mine would know the difference between remission and "cured" and use the correct terminology, since there is a big difference.

@Aaron_K123 Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. I've learned new things and have a better understanding of how it all works.
-
Are you referring to this point? Why does not being able to choose scare you if you aren't concerned about BT?
-
I'm glad you said the point was simple! I had to explain myself because I worried I hadn't made myself clear.

Aaron_k123 said "There is about as much reason to worry that an insect midgut enterotoxin is going to poke holes in a bacterial cell wall as there is to worry that a hole punch is going to hurt the ozone layer. In otherwords...no reason." You said: "It's silly because comparing two living organisms consuming the same thing…

Theobromine is not poisonous to dogs? And you can't see the relation between BT killing specific insects but not our intestinal flora, and theobromine being toxic to some animals but not to humans?
-
If you want to compare living organisms consuming the same thing: Garlic is toxic to cats Theobromine (found in chocolate) is poisonous to dogs and cats Avocados are toxic to some birds Shall I go on? Just because one thing is bad for a certain living thing does not mean it's bad for all living things. There are more…

I think I'd rather worry about the conditions in which the laborers who harvest our crops live and work, than about some inexpressible idea that there might be something bad about rigorously tested modified crops. One is a concrete thing impacting real people in their daily lives (not just workers but other people far away…

I think we've lost sight of the original topic of discussion. It was not about the population in general, but about those individuals who say they have a harder time than most to lose weight and what drives them to eat even knowing the harm it's doing to them. Just as a reminder, this was what sparked the conversation: I…

I have bad news for you. That wasn't bread. :|

Oh I don't mind the discussion on addiction (as long as it doesn't get bogged down by semantics)! You've made some thought provoking points. I think part of it may be genetic too, and for some people (maybe ones who had traumatic events in childhood) it's become a deeply ingrained coping mechanism. For others, well, I'm…

Thank you for sharing this! :)

Idk but congrats on your weight loss!

Right. Because it's totally Big Pharma's fault that I'm sick and obese*. Had nothing to do with my own lack of personal responsibility to care for myself throughout the years. I wonder who an obese doctor would blame for his obesity? *I'm not, but when I was fat I knew exactly who to blame.

I bet it lifts the neighbour's mood too. :)
