  • Kick butt at work, eat my calories, take care of my home life. Most importantly not give in to feeling tired and lazy even if that's how I feel.
  • Look there are a lot of factors here. Look at your diary and make sure your calories are good. Then look at your macros just to make sure. If that is all right, just keep going 1 more week and then see. If your body isn't used to this it can go in defense mode, but sheds off nicely after. If you didn't eat right or work…
  • Not a full wardrobe, an outfit or something maybe. Mostly because it doesn't do any good for your confidence if you lose the weight but in an area you didn't expect and the fit isn't right. I tried the motivation wardrobe thing it doesn't work as well as clothes that fit and look good right now. I actually plan on buying…
  • "Nothing changes when you're comfortable".
  • I was exactly like this for the same reasons you listed. I had to force myself to stop once my calories were gone and I had my bf help me. At first it was so bad I would just decide to go to bed because it was the only thing that would stop me from thinking about food. Like any addiction you kind of have to put yourself…
  • I was always told "you look exactly like your mom!" But I didn't see it. I watched her struggle with low self esteem and weight related problems all my life and told myself that would never be me. I finally saw a picture of her as a child and honestly if they had told me it was a photo of me wouldn't have thought twice, I…
  • Just so you guys know I know women don't get masculine bodies without help. How do I explain it, more like having a Kim kardasian body (VERY curvy/thick but toned) instead of a slim type. I'm not even saying that body type doesn't look good because it does but if I could choose I want a slimmer figure. I know it's mostly…
  • The thing that usually happens to me is I get the those people trying to "help" me when they see me being healthy. If I'm eating a salad or say no thanks to junk food they literally look at me like I have an eating disorder and try to force feed me (not kidding). Or when I'm working out or about to they will try to stop me…
  • @tomteboda Wow those arms! I've had my breathing checked out and even an EKG and all that done because I do get winded easily and pass out more often than I guess is normal. Everything appeared perfectly healthy. He said it's most likely a condition (I forget the name) where when my body or mind is too stressed my veins…
  • I know it's silly for women to think they are going to bulk up into these masculine bodies without trying, my fear was keeping my CURRENT body size but with muscle instead of fat. It just didn't seem silly to me since I'm already this size if that makes any sense. lol
  • Good luck! Tracking food is such an eye opener to the real problems! When I first started I felt my calories weren't that bad, then I realized not only was I always slightly over, my sodium intake was crazy high.
  • I actually have this same problem with being full before I reach my calorie intake for the day, doing a weekly bank seems perfect since I usually give myself 1 day that I can go over (but keep within maintaining) and I feel the weekly thing would work better for this!
  • Thanks for telling me about this! It really put my mind at ease. I'm still going to wait a bit before truly working out, but probably not as long
  • Same here. The weather is just starting to cool down enough I can wear comfy layers. By the time I shed those when the weather is warm again (about 3 months) I want to be able to SEE a difference, be healthier, and sport confidence. I am just starting again after a major setback. Maybe we can do it together?
  • I went to try on cute lingerie outfits at a store by my house with my bf and when I put them on I was terrified to leave the dressing room and was in tears. That was a few years ago and I have been trying, failing, and learning since then. Now I look at my bf and see how scared I am for his health it's not just about me…
  • The first few pounds are always water weight but even so who cares? It's the first step which means your body is getting healthy enough to let go and debloat in order to correctly lose fat. It sounds like you've past the water weight and have already started losing fat but either way good for you because 14 is a good…
  • Well the problem is I'm curvy with chub and when I workout I don't seem to slim it just tones (if that makes sense) so I look the same size just muscly. You are saying that will go away? Is there any indication for how long? Sorry I've never heard about this before.
  • For those asking his height, he is about 5'11. I'm sorry I meant to say his calories for the day are 1800 and never noticed my mistake until now. His bmi is 39 (I know it's not completely accurate, but seems to be for sedentary people) so I set his goal to 175 on here (just in the healthy range) and the 2 pounds a week and…
  • Thanks guys for this I told him what you said and am trying to coach him how to do it healthy. Yeah he is set to sedentary, he spends basically half his day at work which is sitting. My next step is going to be to try and get him active on his days off, but right now he doesn't have the energy. As for me when I'm eating…
  • Avocado is usually enough for me but the pita bread I got seems extra dry. That's why I wanted to find something lite but at the same time yesterday my count was way too low and I had to look for something to eat so I wouldn't be under. So I'm trying to add just a touch more to each meal and balance it out.
  • Wow you guys all have such great ideas! I planned on eating the sandwiches for the week so I'm going to try some of your suggestions and experiment each day. Now I'm excited!
  • Thanks for the replies. I think it might be low nutrients and I know I sleep too much. Like I said I've been like this as long as I can remember so it's not my new diet, it didn't really affect my energy levels. I'm going to look into nutrients soon.
  • I went off track for a few months and gained all but 5 pounds back. I didn't reset my starting weight, I just logged my current weight. That's because this isn't a do over, it's a continuation of my journey. Yeah it was a blow to see my progress go down, but I learned a lot and am in a better place than I was last time I…
  • It can be scary but skipping them or being late is normal. You are putting your body through so many changes both physically, mentally, and chemically. Sometimes it just needs a break or to adjust.
  • Also I'm 157 and eating 1200 cal a day. It's my lose 2 pounds a week deficit according to this app, but obviously I'm not losing that quickly.
  • I think kshama2001 might be on to something. When I went to donate blood I passed the blood test but passed out during and they admitted my iron was pretty low. They claimed I barely passed but I'm suspicious they lied because I have one of the most needed blood types. I get light headed more than what I'm told is normal.
  • Congratulations on the marriage! I have a mom and grandma who bring up my weight. I always remember this one event that happened. I was going to spend the day with my bf and his family and wore a top a little more adventurous than usual (I had been feeling good about my weight loss). My mom took one look at me and said I…
  • Well I don't have insurance but I've mentioned it in my free check ups and they said I seem healthy, probably just lifestyle but I've been like that since middle school.
  • 2 lbs a week is what I set the goal at.
  • So since this I'm now down 10 lbs total plus 2 in on waist & 1 on hips. After not losing fora bit iI lost 3 pounds like nothing. I hope this is a good sign.
