  • That's a great goal!
  • My favorite is backstroke. I prefer it because I don't have to worry about timing my breathing as much as I do with freestyle. I do still do freestyle sometimes, but usually only a couple of laps per workout.
  • I took yesterday as a recovery day. I did some shopping which netted me some walking calories. I went ahead and ate back all of those, and today, I feel better, so I'm getting back in the pool.
  • I have a lot of pain issues too, and I understand those days when you just feel like eating your feelings. The thing that keeps me from drowning my pain in a giant bowl of ice cream is that I know that for every pound I lose, I put off the three surgeries I need just a little while longer. I'll have to have them eventually…
  • Right now, I am swimming half a mile a day. I'm ridiculously slow: it takes me 35 minutes to do 16 laps. My first goal is to get it down to 32 minutes. That would make it 1 minute per length of the pool.
  • I'm at 1580 calories and in this for the long haul. I'd love to connect with you to help support your journey.
  • Thanks for this info. I had assumed the app would adjust my calorie goals when necessary. When I did WW, that app auto-adjusted, so I assumed MFP would as well. When I had MFP recalculate, I'm 130 calories lower than I was.
  • Coke is my weakness, but I haven't had any for 56 days. I know that I can't have just one.
  • Congrats! You look like you are feeling great, and you can really see a difference!
  • I have issues with joint problems. I currently need a hip replacement, spinal fusion, and rotator cuff repair. My hip/back ortho has limited me to swimming, which helps with the pain quite a bit. Plus every pound I lose puts off the surgeries for a little while longer.
  • It's hard. I know having a week really helps some people. I've never tried because I'm not that organized. I hope it works for you!
  • I've got over 100 pounds to go too. I'm trying to focus on remembering that as long as I'm mindful and working on it, I'm being successful! The scale will stall or even go up at times, but there are constant opportunities to improve my health. Feel free to add me.
  • I have over 100 pounds to lose, and I could use some more support. I started this a month ago, and I'm doing well with it: down 12.2 in that time. I'm hoping to continue. I've tried other things before, but this seems the easiest to me.
