I've been a vegetarian for about 24 years, since I was 15 years old (for ethical purposes). I used to be very healthy for many years. As I got older I made bad choices regarding food and activity level. I'm an obese vegetarian now. So, yes, I agree with many others that say all ways can be healthy or unhealthy. It mostly…

I grew up on a farm, we had our own home milk and butter. I am lactose intolerant though. Almost all dairy I buy is light and the milk is skim (with the exception of cheese - some foods are worth the suffering!). I never actually bought lighter dairy for fear of the fat, just the lactose issue.

Spent the day doing my taxes, healthy grocery shopping (or searching... it was hard looking at the ingredients of every freaking thing!). Picked up a few gym clothing items. Now, I'm just melting into my recliner with one of my dogs, who is snoring.

I weigh myself every morning, after I use the toilet and before I eat anything. I usually log it in on Sundays or Mondays.

I'm curious, how does one know when the ratio shifts? I'm about 100 lbs overweight at the moment and have mainly been doing cardio. I'd like to get into the muscle building and fitness along with the cardio at some point. I'm sure I have a long way to go before this "shift" happens though, lol.

Fairly new here and just starting to navigate the community of MFP. I log in daily... always logging stuff... and more stuff. I'd love some new friends on here that are also active. Feel free to add me!

It used to bug me, the word "fat". However, it really is just a descriptive word... and I am fat. I think now it depends on how someone would say it to me. If they intend it to be cruel? Yes, it would bother me. But if it's just used as a harmless description, it doesn't really bother me.

Allo, I'm 38 (soon to be 39). I have about 100 lbs to lose. Fairly new to MFP, would love some like minded friends as well. I'm on here daily... logging and logging... and reading fitness/nutrition stuff.

Allo ladies. I'm pretty new MFP. I have about 100 lbs, or so, to lose. I'm happy to see a group for the "obese" on here. Feel free to add me. ;)

When it's something I really... really like. Out of boredom. While watching TV. Holidays, when the company and the food is good. Rewarding myself with something so awfully delicious.

If I'm not watching recorded shows on TV, I'm listening to a vast list of music. Pop, Rap, Rock, Classic Rock, Blues/Jazz, Oldies, etc. My music collection is ever-expanding and gigantic, so I never get tired of it.

I will be 40 next April (2017) and I don't want to be obese starting into my 40's. I'm tired of feeling tired and lazy.
