Good luck! I've been up and down over the years, not quite as big a swing as you but I've been near 300 and as low as 200 since I turned 20. My goal heading into 40 is to get back down to 200 or less if I can. I'm 45 lbs in now and have a year to lose the next 65.

I've been on and off again with running for the last 6 years and to be honest I'm still as slow as ever. But that's good enough for me. I'm a 13.10 minute mile timeframe when not racing, I get a little better in competition as I'm stubborn and will really push it. Sucks to be slow but I figure its better than doing nothing…

Yep, when you think you are going slow enough, go twice as slow. If you read any articles on running and mistakes people make, its pretty much always that they run too hard for the amount of distance they want to cover in a week. So go slow and just keep going.
