I'm not a boxing trainer but, I've been boxing for about 2 years and have been training in MMA for like 6 years. Do you know how to jab, cross, hook, etc.? Do you have any foundation in striking? Let me know if I can help.

Loosing weight isn't easy my friend. You are 100% correct. It seems like you are on the right path. Take it slow and steady. Have you started a workout plan?

If you truly hate exercise a group setting might help. Zumba, a boot-camp type of workout, cardio kickboxing, etc. The group will help motivate you and encourage you. Try a few places out to see if the group is a good fit. A lot of places have a free class. I hope this helps.
