Keep putting one foot in front of the other. Look at your before pictures when you feel like you're losing control. Try to fit treats in your calorie allotment, but if necessary, eat at maintenance. Move more and enjoy the holidays without the emphasis being so much on the food. Congratulations on your success so far!

Good morning! You can add me if you like. Good luck on your journey!

Anyone can add me as well. I log in everyday, and my diary is public to friends. Good luck on your journey.

Try something physical like kickboxing or regular boxing. You would probably enjoy getting to hit or kick something while you're going through this.

I'm an OR nurse in Neurosurgery. Take this time to get healthy. I'm only trying to lose 9 more pounds, I started out needing to lose 26 lbs. I stand on my feet for almost every minute of those 12 hours most days. Nursing can be hard on the body, and anything you can do to alleviate stress on your joints and feet will help…

It's under the goals heading. You can input your current weight, height, activity level, and your expected rate of loss.

I weigh weekly on Sundays. I don't have time every morning to hit the scale. Plus, I don't want to see the number go up temporarily and start my day off badly.

Yesterday, I was curious about my progress. I've lost 17 lbs to date, but I wanted to know if my size 6 jeans that I have hanging in the closet would fit comfortably again, or would I have to lose more weight. Those jeans were loose, and I wore them all day. I ate my meals without them pressing into my stomach…

Congratulations on your healthy achievement! Great display of dedication and perseverance!

I'm 35, and I started where you did, and I'm currently 147. I'm looking to lose about 10 more for now. I'm on here daily, and my diary is open to friends. Well, except for the last 3 days because I'm on vacation, and it's not as pretty as it usually is. Good luck on your goals!

Absolutely! I crave roasted broccoli and carrots, salads, 100% whole wheat bagels, lean meats, almonds, and cottage cheese pretty regularly. I'm currently on vacation, and my boyfriend loves to eat out. Last night, we went to a pasta place we used to eat at regularly, and it didn't taste that great to me. I would have been…

Good morning everyone! I'm Susan from Missouri. I'm working on my last 9 lbs until I reach my goal, and I have an open diary. Feel free to send me a request. Have a great weekend everyone.

Welcome, and good luck reaching your goals!

Welcome! Good luck on your journey. I would stop trying fad diets, and stick with your calorie allotment. Eat real food that is good for you and you enjoy. Wishing you much success!

Motivation isn't the problem. To lose weight and keep it off requires discipline and habit. Commit to 1 month. You will faithfully log and weigh your food entries every day. See how much progress you made. Then commit to another month and so on. As for your cravings, tell yourself the only way your getting whatever it is…

Congratulations on your success! You look much happier now, and you're smiling. Fantastic achievement.

Paul, Why do you want to lose weight? Whatever that reason, is that reason enough not to give up and sabotage your progress? My boyfriend loves me no matter what I weigh, but I'm not doing this for him. I know that I can overeat and sabotage my progress, and he wouldn't care. However, I don't. No matter how emotional I…

Hello. I'm 35 and pretty motivated to drop the pounds and get fit.

Been there done that. I'm sorry you are going through this difficult time, but you are approaching it with the right attitude. Exercise was very therapeutic when I was going through my divorce as well. I remember taking long walks with tears running down my face and running on the treadmill until I felt better. It will get…

Promise yourself you'll stick with it for 30 days. Focus on the 30 days, not the distant future of how long it will take you to get to the end goal. See where you are at at the end of the end of the 30 days. Most likely the progress of those 30 days will be the motivation for the next month. Sometimes people look too far…

You can add me if you like. I'm 5 foot 3, 35, and I have lost 12 lbs with 13 more to go. I'm active on MFP daily.

At this point, you're going to have to ask yourself which is more important? Do you want to indulge during the weekend to the point where you consistently don't reach your goals, or do you want to lose weight? Just because it's the weekend, doesn't mean healthy eating goes out the window. It's great that you continue with…
