Also I have had a minor stressful few weeks but I wouldn't say it has been THAT stressful (applying for a mortgage and getting paperwork etc, but not like sleepless nights stressful). Not like mental hormones stressful!! I have an appointment with a doctor to check everything is ok, but it's not until late next week, so…

No. I 've been on painkillers every 4h over last 3 days and barely slept while waiting on my TOTM. Got blinding headaches ,stomach cramps and upset stomach, nausea and my whole body hurts. Managed yoga today and not beating myself over it. I love working out so nothing to do with motivation I just get it bad and no idea why…

I do Stronglifts 2x a week(so I can do it with my partner ),run c210k 3x a week and do yoga with Adriene everyday. Haven't felt 100 %last few days so missed a work out but that's my normal routine. Also hike on weekends when I can.

Please don't forget your thyroid medication it's not something you can take occasionally and you are risking your health. Your body needs it on daily basis it's not like taking paracetamol occasionally for headache . I am hypo and I have been diagnosed with Bipolar last summer. I keep bipolar meds by my bed as I need to…

I know exercising would be good but I really struggle during this time .Not so much with motivating I love working out, more with overall pain/cramps/upset stomach I get. I 've managed yoga today and need to do stronglifts tomorrow but can't get myself to run during that week. I'll try and do yoga everyday at least . I 've…

Thanks everyone I don't workout much during this time so I don't have alot of exercise calories to play with and was unsure if 1900 is right but you 've put me at ease. I won't shoot for 1900 everyday but I'll set it at maintenance so I'll have extra calories there when I need them.

Follow a structured program like Strong lifts or Strong curves I think one is called which is quite often recommended. There is a thread on here I'm sure someone will have a link for best lifting programmes to follow. When I first started the gym I hired PT for few sessions to teach me proper form before I started free…

I loooove peanut butter and I blame bf for introducing it to me ( tall, skinny guy that can eat everything) . I know how easily you can overeat on it but it can be a part of your everyday diet as long as you measure it. Last night I had dairy free Ben &Jerrys PB and cookies ice cream, absolutely lush but I made room for it…

This sounds exactly like me every month. Sucks being a woman sometimes. I'm very jealous of women that don't get any symptoms and just get on with it .
I tried once and tracked but could never find the trend. How did you figure it out? I wondered if I had too much variety and so never could pinpoint the cause.
I was writing literally everything, when I cooked food all the ingredients like onion, brocolli, sauce etc, every drink, sleep schedule, flare up s.…

Walk /hike and yoga. I am absolutely in love with hiking ,it clears your mind and you have such a sense of achievement once you climb that hill or mountain . Plus I get generous amount of exercise calories for hiking all day so it's a win-win.

Why is it depressing? It's a tool to help you identify triggers . I have done it couple of years ago and I 've used food diary to write everything ( and I mean absolutely everything) that passed my lips, how I slept, have I had any pain, how I felt throughout the day,was I under stress etc. After a while I 've found my…

I have IBS and when I am bloated/constipated I don't even bother stepping on scale as I know it ll wind me up. It's not a true reflection though as long as you are accurately logging loss will show. With me scale might not move for few weeks then I'll just have a "whoosh " . So just keep doing what you 're doing and try…

As long as I'm constantly logging and I have found I work out regularly (making bigger deficit) I will lose.Im also on two other meds with weight gain as a side effect but the only thing that makes me gain weight is a food I put in my mouth . Some people go low carb with hypothyroid I have tried it but felt so sluggish and…

We pick where we go out based on what food they serve and love experimenting and trying new stuff. We are cooking alot. Growing up my Nan and Mum were amazing cooks, everything…

Tight pants and puffed up face . ETA : Oh and when my comfy ,loose jeans became too tight .

I am really enjoying it ! It's not too difficult and it's so relaxing . I will be trying it with little one over next few days, she is being referred to have her hearing checked ( possible tinnitus) and I 've read that yoga and meditation can help . Do you tend to do it morning or evenings ?
-
Runger lol I like that , thanks everyone for input. I'll have a look at weekly total maybe ,I have swimming, weights and another run planned for weekend so I need to find something that ll keep me fuller for longer and on track. I don't want to blow all my hard work by overeating.

I have a 6ft barbell and free weights, squat rack ( most recent addition),kettlebell, treadmill and exercise bike at home. I used to go to the gym but since I started working over 50h a week and studying for a degree in the evenings I have no time or energy to go so instead of paying membership I saved up and overtime added…

You are not alone. I have Bipolar and I went from initial 25mg dose of Quentapine to 300 mg in space of few months. To say it had screwed up my motivation is an understatement. I work out at home. I have a treadmill, barbell and weights, kettlebell. Try and take it slow . Last weekend I felt so sick from increase I barely…

I suffer with IBS and for years it has been debilitating to the point I couldn't get out of bed. I have had a repeat prescription for painkillers which gave me my life back last 2 years and will probably take them forever. I still have flare ups but not as bad. Things I found helped me are : Fodmap book and religiously…

I 've done day 1 today and I really liked it! I will definitely carry on. I normally do stress release 20 min yoga with my little one but I'm sure she ll live this one too.

I had SPD while pregnant and since then I tend to get shooting pains down my side and lower back pain. I want to get strong and yes you are right, lifting with proper form should not cause injury I guess as I am relatively new to it (use to lift before but first time following structured programme)just want to make sure I…
