  • Tuesday 9/8 and Wednesday 9/9 check in Food: good Water: 32 oz Exercise: none Didn't sleep well either day.😥 I didn't really do much on Tuesday, sleep ( sort of) after work, got up and must have done a few things. Couldn't have been too exciting since I don't remember what I did. When did I get old. 🤔 I'm only 51, I…
  • tryingagain5 Wednesdays Week 1 PW: 207.2 CW: 205.6 Loss: 1.6 Great start. Now to keep going in this direction. Getting back to exercise will help too. I've been way too sporadic on the exercise. Going back to the gym should help with more consistent workouts, since, for some reason, I don't do well with that at home.😊
  • Monday 9/7 Food: good Water: 48 oz Exercise: none I got to sleep at night again last night. That won't happen again until Saturday night. I ended up sleeping in a little. I pretty much slept most of my 3 day weekend away.😊 I didn't do much with my day and since I have to work tonight I slept my whole afternoon away. The…
  • @ljdanny I sure am excited to get back into the gym. I have to wait until Thursday though. I made a commitment to help in the church office on Wednesdays and I want to honor that commitment. I know, it's pretty sad that so many have a bad work ethic. Hopefully you can just do the 2 weeks off but it's probably better to…
  • @kandi3570 That soup sounds really good. I might have to look that up sometime. As for, reading and commenting on all the posts, I have a lot of trouble keeping up with all the posts too. I try to go back and read them but it can get overwhelming so then I just read the posts on the page that I'm on. Sometimes I comment…
  • Sunday 9/6 check in Fod: good Water: 48 oz Exercise: 15 minute walk Had outdoor church today. It wasn't very warm this morning. A few people brought blankets and one of them shared with me, which was nice. I had dinner at my dad's today. He doesn't cook much but he is a pretty good cook. After I left my dad's I read for a…
  • @xX_PhoenixRising_Xx It doesn't take much to get behind on posts does it.😯 Hope you're doing better after your migraine. Great job on staying under your calories and listening to your body!
  • @mainebeachbum Great job on your steps! Looks pretty impressive to me!
  • @CassieGetsFit2013 Great loss! It's ok to not eat too much but make sure you eat enough. I'm not in the medical field at all so I can't give you medical advice. I can only give you support here. As for looking things up, Dr. Google is not your friend. I know from my own experiences that looking things up actually makes the…
  • Saturday 9/5 check in Food: not bad Water: 48 oz Exercise: 20 minutes low intensity Since I didn't work Friday night, I got to actually sleep at night. I slept really well and slept in a little. Not an overly exciting day. Did a couple of loads of laundry, played on my phone awhile, read for a little while, then felt…
  • @minstrelofsarcasm Even though you consider your post "cheesy" I'm glad you didn't delete it. I'm sure most of us have heard something similar but a reminder is always good. I don't usually think of myself as an inspiration to others but later find out that I am even when I don't know it. @sleepymom5 I guess it's true that…
  • @debbiewswanson Great job on all the walking! That's a great idea to call someone while you walk. I bet you go farther and don't even know it. I find when I walk with someone I go farther than if I went alone. Thanks, I will. The incentive is nice and I think will benefit mostly the people who already show up to work. I…
  • @podperson1 Thanks! I really have missed the gym. I had a good routine with it. Not being able to go did mess with my momentum. Not that I couldn't do workouts at home. For some reason it's better for me to actually leave the house and workout. I generally workout harder at the gym than at home. Probably from being around…
  • @sleepymom5 It's funny how we know what to do but don't do, even as we continue doing what we know isn't helpful for us. Not sure why we do that. You'd think we'd learn to get it straight and do what's helpful all the time. Of course, if we did all that we wouldn't have a problem in the first place.😉 It does sound like you…
  • @Melzz19 Wow! Those are beautiful pictures! I agree, I've had a previous trainer tell me "you can't outtrain a bad diet" It's nice that both you and your fiance are both off. Enjoy your breakfast and enjoy your time off.
  • I'm Linda, 50 and live in Michigan. I don't have kids but have 3 grown nephews who are married. I've been on this team since October 2019., with a month off. Thank you to all who have encouraged me! It has been helpful. I have two great nieces, one who is about 18 months old and the other is 9 months old. I have had a…
  • @debbiewsharpe It will be interesting at the gym but I am so ready to go back! I hope you will be able to get back to your gym as well. Thanks for all the encouragement and positivity! It means a lot! You're right. I will get there. It doesn't matter how long it takes since losing weight is more of a journey, a marathon,…
  • Yay! I get a 3 day weekend! Seems kind of silly to get excited about that but since I've only had 1 day off for the last few weeks having 3 days off is great! It was a really nice day. I went for a long walk with one of my neighbors so that was my exercise for the day. Too much on the food and not enough on the water. Work…
  • @sleepymom5 Most gym members already cleaned their machines after using them so I don't see that being much if a problem. Not sure what will happen with the masks. The owner posted that he is looking for clarification from the state about them since the gyms in northern Michigan have been open since mid June and do not…
  • @sleepymom5 @cafelelia Thanks for all your support! I am tired from all the OT I've been doing. Hopefully I won't have to work tomorrow night. If I have tomorrow night off, I'll only have 42 hours this week. That check is going to seem really small compared to all the OT check amounts.😉 I will eventually get there. Just…
  • tryingagain5 Wednesday PW: 205.8 CW: 207.2 Gain: 1.4 Not surprised. I still haven't gotten everything back in check yet. Working on it.
  • @sleepymom5 Me too! My boss told us last night that we "probably" will get it. Several people clapped and cheered but things change so quickly, I'm not going to get excited until it's a for sure thing.😉
  • @debbiewsharpe My boss is a pretty good guy. He talks about being tired too and he's only 33. I've got a lot of years in him!😊 Thanks! I know I will! Just have to start doing what I know works for me.
  • Mon and Tues check in I haven't been counting calories. Just trying to eat more mindfully and watch carbs and get in more protein. Doing ok with it so far. Not enough water and no exercise. Gotta get back to working on this! When my boss asked if I wanted any extra OT, I told him I would do the mandatory OT but didn't want…
  • @debbiewsharpe Thanks! I didn't work Saturday night and got a good night's rest! I work in a plant that manufactures car mirrors for all different makes of cars. They have customers from all over the world. Part of the reason for so much OT right now is not enough people but from what I understand orders have also been up…
  • @sleepymom5 Thanks for letting me rant.😊 I don't like to do that but sometimes have to.😊 Yes, work has been crazy with the extremes. Not sure if it's a temporary busy or not. I'm glad it's not all mandatory OT too. Only Saturday is mandatory (Friday night for 3rd shift). It's nice they give us a choice during the week.
  • @1theresamcvean Thanks, I was hoping I wasn't offending anyone with my thoughts on gyms. I didn't think I was but sometimes it's harder to know what someone is trying to say with writing---you can't see facial expressions, which helps a lot in conversations. From what I understand the governor is supposed to make a…
  • @Melzz19 The most I've ever worked is 62 hours and that was a couple of years ago. I'm doing about 54 now and am exhausted. I've already decided that next week I'm only going to do the mandatory OT and not the voluntary. My body needs a break. I've never been to North Dakota. Glad you like being in a small town but it must…
  • @Melzz19 It's got to be so tough for them. My gym's owner just posted something on Facebook today that 40% of them either didn't (meaning they already closed permanently) or when they can open they won't make it. It's really sad. The other thing that has so many people frustrated is that the governor is using something…
  • That's great that you have a home gym! Even if I had the space for it I don't know how motivated I would be to actually use it. I understand about not being comfortable lifting in front of others. The small gym that I'm a member of actually has great members. Everyone is pretty encouraging of everyone else and supports…
