I too have a binge eating disorder. And I just can't get it together - binge-diet repeat cycle. I am well over 50 and have been doing this way of eating just about my whole life. My Mom is well over 80 and she too will say "I was good today" "I got under the number". I think it is so sad that my Mom is still trying to…

Congrats on your continued success. Do you ever get over that "need" to eat?

Hi, Come on the "Losing is Winning" group:)

I eat them plain. Tasty. You can make cut up sweet potatoes with prunes and some type of sauce. Very nice.

I recently bought Ezekeil bread in the frozen section. I read that it is healthier. It is just ok. I personally need, when I am done with my binging, to stop all the bread. For me, I can't stop at one piece and the butter is evil.

I have lost 50 pounds at least 2x. I still was wearing the same tops and pants with elastic waist that I wore 50 lbs. heavier. Have you bought any fitted clothes? People only noticed my weight loss when I had already started binging again.

I have a binge eating disorder for over 45 years. I am in binge mode now and have been trying to get back to a healthy losing weight plan. I have not been successful. The last dietician I went to, who specializes in eating disorders, gave me a plan. But it was not to lose weight. Eating carbs at every meal. Eating snacks…

Some endocrinologist give you meters for free and some sample test strips and lancets. They will give you a script for strips and lancets for that particular meter. There are also classes, usually held in a hospital setting for 4 to 5 sessions discussing food, when you are sick etc. They may explain the 15 carb thingie -…

The best time to start a diet? When January 1 falls on a Monday. Diet soda like many mentioned above. Sometimes you do need to psyche yourself up. Good luck on your exams and hugs

It's really tough losing weight and not regaining. Some great advice you were giving. Hugs

Have you had flavored water bottles or the mio or other flavors, yes, no bubbles. But since you are doing great, to not stretch the stomach sounds like not having carbonation is the way to go. A question, if you don't mind, about WLS - do you still have that "need" to eat, that feeling, that mindlessness to binge? Thank…

A tailor at the cleaners can add a panel to it. Maybe the store where you bought it has some of the same fabric. Though you did say you didn't want to go that route. Like 35 years ago when getting fitted for a bridesmaid dress, I told the seamstress to make it like 2 or 3 sizes smaller. She did. I didn't lose the weight.…

Thank you!

Thank you for your thoughts :)

Have you had your blood sugar checked lately? Fruit has a lot of sugar.

I second the Premiere though I only like the chocolate one.

Someone with a binge eating disorder can have an addiction to bread plus other foods. It is best not to have it in the house. I stopped keeping butter in the house and that has stopped me from eating a lot of bread.

I had big calves in elementary school. I was not overweight then. But I do remember looking for go go boots and they did not fit. I could not find tall boots to fit my calves. This was sad as a child and not great for my self-esteem. I was wondering if they are muscular because someone I know does get complemented on her…

pickles? Hard boiled eggs, banana. Don't forget your pillow and light blanket.

RedheadedPR - Can I have the recipe for your baked oat bars? Thank you! Pickles, cheese stick or string cheese, almonds.

I actually feel a binge coming on. There's nothing set for dinner. I see I gained a very small amount from yesterday which always puts a damper on my mood. That was why I said I would only weigh once a month. But someone close to me told me I need to do it at least every other week. Which then made me want to weigh after…

Hi, Had my gallbladder out. My surgeon said "when you had your gallbladder, you shouldn't have been eating fatty foods. Now that it is out, you can eat whatever you want". I do and have no problems at all with any type of foods - I eat avocados, fatty foods, fried foods, salmon, chocolate, twinkies, whatever.

How about 15 almonds and 12 grapes? A vegie/fruit smoothie you make at home the night before?
