  • It took my years, but I got to a weight lower than I was before I had kids. My body did change though. Before kids, I had a very flat, small stomach in a size 8. Even at the size 4 I got to, my stomach was less tight, more flabby. Of course, this could be my age too, because I didn't lose the "baby weight" for about 10…
  • I am going to jump in mid-challenge if that is o.k. I did these 10 day challenges for a while last spring, but really let myself go throughout the fall, and even more since Thanksgiving. I have started to eat lots of "crap" again and stopped logging. As a result, I am currently just under 149 pounds, from a low of 137 last…

  • Me: 0 LNS: 2 I lost last night at 9 p.m. It's such a habit for me to snack while watching t.v. after my kids go to sleep. Well, at least it was just one serving of Pop Chips. I did have two cups of tea, which did help cut it back I guess. My goal: No eating after 8 p.m. Tea only.

  • You control what foods are available in the home and in the lunch to eat. You plan the activities after school and on weekends. Some easy rules can help limit empty calories, like not buying soda to have in the house or not putting cookies or chips in school lunches. Kids will complain that other kids have these things,…

  • I'm 5'6. The lowest I have been since I started to lose weight was right around 137. That looks pretty thin on me. I am at 140 right now and I think this is good. I am trying to get down maybe 2 pounds and try to stay just at or under 140. I was going for 135, but I think it might be too thin for me. I have a large frame…
  • That is crazy to me. I spend so much more than than on me and two kids. Way more. I have no idea how a family of four could only spend $400 a month.
  • It is not impossible. I lost a little over 50 pounds last year at 46 years old. I think that the weight might come on more easily as I am older. I remember being in my 20s or 30s and losing weight when I wanted to without such a concentrated effort. The 50 pounds took serious calorie tracking and effort to stick to the…
  • Thanksgiving is just one day so I say eat whatever and move on. The month of December is more challenging as delicious eating options present themselves throughout the month I find. Last year, I just ate what I wanted for a couple of weeks and attempted to log. It did slow down my weight loss, and I even gained a few…

  • I'm 5'6, large frame, and I think US size 2 might be too skinny for me. I am currently a US size 4 (size 6 in a handful of things). I think it depends on your height and frame.

  • I did for almost a month, and stopped weighing in too. I ate cake on multiple occasions and cheeseburgers and fries. I was shocked to find I did not gain weight. I went from 193 to about 140 pounds from July 2016 to May 2017. I gained and lost the same 4 pounds or so for a while. I was going for 135 pounds, but am thinking…

  • If you have one, go to In and Out and get a protein style cheeseburger. That might solve your problem.

  • Just wanted to check in with you all. I was in for a few rounds July - September, but have stopped regularly logging and weighing myself for a bit. I went from 193 (July 2016) to a low of 137 (April 2017). I was up to the low-mid 140s in July. I just got burnt out from logging and staying within a certain calorie count. I…
  • Thanks for your message and advice. I really need to think about my goal weight. I think I may just accept that I am at a good weight for me and try to keep it here and focus on not gaining, rather than losing any more.
