Forgot to mention this board and WW Connect help me remember I am not alone in needing to manage my weight and also teaches me ways to do it.

I use: Food scale daily WW App to track daily My feet to walk or run My dog who stares at me with sad eyes, when I don't take her for a walk. We do 2.5 miles a day, but some days work delays us. My kitchen and cooking skills to make meals that allow me to eat well and more than I would with take out or in a restaurant. My…

I can't say I was an impersonator but I was less confident. My weight crept up after I sold my company and got married, our first ten years of marriage were full of stressful life events, involving loved ones. The biggest was when my 15 year old step daughter was in a car crash, she broke every limb in her body, along with…

Jan 1 goals = several fitness goals; 7 more pounds removed; eliminate the "dreaded tasks" (things I need to do that are difficult emotionally and the process can be challenging) most revolving around the final closure of my parents estate and catching up on the personal items that fell to the wayside due to caring for…

I consider them goals for the year. I usually do make some each year, and I achieve some, others I fail miserably and still others I modify or learn from while trying to achieve them. I have several fresh starts in my year. Jan 1, Easter, my birthday are typically days I consider that I am starting a new again. I take a…

@gadgetgirlIL you just reminded me of a somewhat similar experience with the eye sight comment. When I was younger and got my first pair of contacts, I found that not being able to see well led me to keeping eye contact with good looking guys longer...which led to meeting more of them. Once I could see I was more…

I love the Excel spreadsheet by aisle concept. Although my normal grocer has changed where everything is located multiple times in the 10 years they have been open. Actually this may help me keep track of where the stuff is...LOL

1. Pre track the things I eat every day (typically) 2. Measure/weigh my portions 3. Keep the fridge and pantry properly stocked. 4. Cook my meals most often, versus take out or restaurants. 5. Know I am in it for the rest of my life by accepting and enjoying the process. 6. Stayed connected to others with the same or…

I've been almost a lifetime lean protein eater, so the saturated fats aspect has not been an issue for me. Did not need to change anything. The change in sugar was much bigger and turning out to be very positive. I stopped eating sweets (desserts, candy, chocolate etc.) on a regular basis of 2-5 times a week ranging from…

I'd be thrilled with a pound a week...but I'm more of a pound a month kinda gal!

From a weight loss perspective 2016 was good to me. In 2015 I went over my WW Lifetime free weight, in 2016 I lost all of it, got back to goal and am now 10 pounds below my WW Lifetime (free) "high" # for WI. And I am going for a new goal, which is about 7 pounds away. The gain was related to job stress and some family…

I've never used one related to weight loss...but I may start using it in my ever changing corporate network pswd, that has so many rules and restrictions and times you have to change it that I start to run out of choices. LOL -- this is a good solution. But I can't tell you what it is because I have to think about it. Mine…

up .2 but on a downward trend overall...I'm happy!

FYI...I can't do it will be traveling for work and possibly changing jobs. Not sure of my schedule and access to internet/pc etc.

We are pretty much home bodies for the holiday, if we do anything we do it during the day for NYE. For January 1st we have a nice lunch at home and catch up with friends or family during the day. That is our normal, this year we have no formal plans at this time. This is a big year of change for us, since our parents are…

Mine would be weighing and measuring food...portion control is my biggest issue. Thus weighing out what I know is a reasonable portion helps me do portion control. It really goes hand in hand with tracking, but if I were put into a situation where the tracker went away, I know the foods well enough to track manually but…

I'm a tracker (at Lifetime since 2-2013) and I still weigh/measure foods most of the time. I have not mastered portion control. I actually find tracking easy. Side note: the app is getting better and better and thus tracking is easier. I completely agree with @88olds

IF YOU HAD A TIME MACHINE AND WENT BACK TO DECEMBER 2015 what would you do differently( in the past twelve months) in LTL? Assess where you were a year ago (be it your weight, health, activity level, financial, emotional well being) and answer the question "What would/could/should I have done differently in 2016?" In 2015…

I brought the ability to cook and I already ate "healthy" foods. My issue was portion and using food to show "love" those led me to gaining.

We spend Christmas Eve (24th) seeing a movie and eating at an interesting/new restaurant for lunch or dinner, coupled with something related to Christmas sights and sounds, like a ride to see lights or going to a public venue that has decorations etc. I'm an Orthodox Christian so we actually celebrate Christmas on January…

@olds88 I am always envious when you mention going back to Key West! And Paddle Board is on my wish list too. We can do that in my area at the national park in the warmer weather, but have not tried it yet.

Most of my life I wore a classic (not to trendy) tailored style. When I was a normal weight (a majority of my life) I wore clothes in that style but a loose fit. As I gained weight, (in my mid to late forties) my clothing options started to look dowdy and what I called "old lady" and style became "hide as much fat as I…

I've said it a thousand times...I want to tone my muscles. I am getting close to a weight where the option of losing more is really not going to change how I look. I know in my heart I need to tone those muscles...but I just cannot get consistent. I get bored with the workouts or I over do it. I've done videos, various…

1. Which are the most common misconceptions you have encountered on line or IRL regarding WL or your own personal WL journey? * I see misunderstanding of the scale and the number that shows up and how it became that number. I see posts stating "I gained & I know why" but the explanation does not necessarily make sense or…

Another outdoors person...be it in nature or just walking around a city...I love outdoors and spending time there always makes me feel at peace. I like solitude but I also am a people watcher, so depending on why I'm in need will determine what I seek out. My 2nd quicker to get to "roof" is my dog, that girl can put a…

I heard it this morning and the news anchor stated she was married 8 times, I told my husband getting married a lot must give you longevity. RIP ZsaZsa @DavidKuhnsSr I agree with your comments/comparison to Kardashians

Down 1.0 at my lowest weight since hitting goal...looking to peel off about 5 more.

I'm doing pretty good losing ounces fairly consistently. I am technically below WW goal, but I want to drop down even further, I think my new goal is really the right goal. I have (2) events still coming up...if I navigate those 2 days well I should weigh less by Jan 2nd than I did in October -- which is a goal I set for…
