How about - it doesn't matter WHEN you eat (meal timing) or WHAT you eat (for weight loss, not necessarily health) as long as calories in are less than calories out. Do what works for you!

A pound plus per week is great! The biggest "issue" I see on MFP is unrealistic expectations. Most of us didn't get heavy overnight ... the weight will not come off overnight either. Keep at it - you can do it!!

I am down 106 lbs ... (lost some before finding MFP) I am eating back usually 50% of my exercise calories to account for over-estimates from the app/machines, etc. but if I am hungry I eat them all because I work out hard. And my weight has been a steady downward trend (not linear, remember!) ... 1lb/week at first and now…

I am not a night stacker, fortunately for me ... but I do find that if I floss and go through an elaborate teeth brushing routine it stops me from wanting to eat.

Well, I will say that he apologized. Lol - and seems to have developed a little more compassion in the past two years. He just ran a food drive for the local food pantry. Hopefully it was lessons learned for us all. ;-)

Two summers ago when I was about 100 lbs heavier, my family was hanging out at the playground for a picnic. My then-7 year-old nephew went to the monkey bars and was hollering for someone to come play with him. I ran over to play ... but he said to me "You can't play with me because you're too fat!" My sister (who is in…

Down about 105 in total. Not exactly sure how much since this time last year but it's noticeable! Lol

I hope someone has insight for you. I have lost a little over 100lbs and I am constantly freezing. I never was a cold person before. My coworkers are used to me wearing my winter coat and running my heater all day! Someone told me that iron deficiency can contribute to "cold" - I have an upcoming doc appt and will discuss…

Member in Wisconsin here and I LOVE it! Great owners, trainers, equipment and classes. Of course, ours is the largest location in the state so YMMV but I am a SNAP devotee! Management regularly adds new equipment and everything is spotless and organized!

Wow - you are due for some luck with a good trainer, OP! Lol I LOVE my trainer. I work out with him twice a week (been doing it about 6 mos). I saw how he trained others and thought he might be too "military" for me at first in style (though I didn't doubt his expertise as his people get results!) ... but he eased me in…

Well, I think the sites, videos, etc. you all posted helped quite a bit. I find watching people helpful. Back to deadlift tonight and I did much better. We went back to conventional as sumo wasn't working for me ... We worked up to 155lbs and I did reps at that weight with much better form. I don't know if that is "good"…
-
I had been working on conventional a few months back but my back was an issue. Took a few months off deadlift and worked on a lot of other strength stuff and back exercises. My trainer tried sumo as a way to ease me back in.

Extremely helpful videos. Thanks!

I don't. I'll try to get one next week when we try again. I will be studying up in the meantime.

My trainer is great and knows his stuff. I just can't seem to translate what he is telling and showing me to actually doing it right. It seems there is so much to think about. I will check out some of these other suggestions, articles, etc.

I love to toss some air popped corn with some Frank's RedHot hot sauce.

I love my Soda stream! While I am fine with plain water, the fizz really helps me feel like I am having a treat. I don't use the flavorings or soda mix. I just make bubbly water that is awesome!

I laughed so hard I spit on my iPad! Lol

Another suggestion made and devoured today. Super yummy. Thanks!

Awesome!

Made my first batch of Thai beef larb for lunch today and it was amazing! And I have leftovers. Yum!

Crack slaw sounds awesome!

Make sure you discuss your goals with your trainer. See if you can get a free or discounted trial session. I have worked with 2 trainers - both opposite sex (male). The first one was nice but didn't push me hard enough. The one I am with now pushed me from session one and got me to my first goals quickly. He is pretty much…

I have found Target to be very responsive on Twitter when I have had issues.

I don't like to eat during movies - too distracting - but I will admit to once or twice in my life sneaking in mini liquor bottles!

Peanut butter (crunchy) and dill pickle sandwiches! Yum!

My trainer is fabulous and pushes me beyond what I would ever do on my own. Results have come much faster than I thought. I'll stick with him as long as I can afford it!
-
Lol - yes but it is just ... different!

Wow, you brought me back to being about 10 years old. Used to have this a lot but it had left my memory!

These look great - thank you!
