My biggest hurdle right now is staying motivated but luckily since hoping back on, my support has grown. Combine that with my determination & self pep talks and I'm finding ways to push through.

@kiwitreelady & @penguinstuff welcome to the group. As you can see all of us can identify with your struggle & would love to be there supporting you on your journey to better health. Congratulations on making this step and welcome to the community.

@akmomof7 - 29 years!!!! Way to go momma, congrats. I know it's off topic but long term marriages aren't heard of near as often these days. I'd say that deserves sushi for sure! And who could resist a homemade cake for a twins b-day party?

Thanks ladies, I'll try to add them to next weeks plan & let you know how they worked out. I make a full menu every week & try to stick to it but of course there are slips when running around. I'll pull my book out tonight a post one or two of my successful dishes too!

Red meat!!!! I cheated twice this week with all the back to school charades but I worked hard too & pledge to stay away from it for two weeks.

Who doesn't love wine!!!! I moved our wine rack into the garage behind lock & key so That it's harder from me to get ahold of & makes me more conscious. That aside my huge downfalls are red meat & cheese. So much so that they aren't stocked in the home. My problem is when we go out it is all too tempting to splurge on…

Sodium is a higher concern of mine than fat not only because of water retention but family history of heart conditions/high blood pressure. I focus a lot on lean meats but my sodium is high more often than not when I do. I do have my great days but also like to have variety in my meal plan and the creativity there is where…

@jmroemer welcome & I understand all too well. I know what it's like to have a spouse who is rarely around & few to lean on. Try to focus on healthy nutritious snacks & hang in there. Don't get too hard on yourself, hang in there.

@ststarks I feel ya'! You sound a lot like my 5 year struggle with the past year being super intense. You have great support here, just don't forget who you are in the game for....YOU & nail it!

@kimpacheco22 I feel ya', they hit a point for me where I had to do some wardrobe changes but when I hit the final goal & bring sexy back it'll come again.
-
Well I already had to splurge & buy some clothes (because they were literally falling off) but I'll need to do it again when I reach the end. A trip sounds great and if we can I would love to do that as well but I'd be more than satisfied with the everyday happiness of clothes that aren't severely outdated & still fit.

I do like the setup better but the old challenge group is still starred

All my shorts from last year literally fall off :)

New & old mamma's welcome! Kim - It has not been an easy journey going up & down the last 6 years but this year has been the most consistent change (22# in reality and that's while building muscle). It has taken a long time for me to really SEE the results but I'm not at goal yet! Habit is now formed though and I plan on…

Maybe you can revise step 3 to encourage participation in the challenges section ran by Kim?

Give yourself some grace. Baby is still pretty new & sleep is ever so important. If you can try to fit in a nice little walk with the stroller (baby will probably nap and you will get some "me" time). Fresh air will do you both good and you will be moving. Before you know it you will find your groove and quality sleep will…

In the spirit of today's challenge.... Here is something I tossed out a year ago & where I'm at. I still have a ways to go.
-
I say this challenge is awesome! But I have no pick to give you. My family already rolled their eyes at me because I did this with EVERYTHING unhealthy in the house a little over a week ago.

Didn't you see my quote today? One day isn't bad. We all have our slips and the fact that you are owning up to it & are going to work hard tomorrow is the important thing. While calories are important, quality nutrient intake is even more so..... If you're gonna go over your calories I'd rather see sushi than fast food!…

I had the same question but didn't ask. I tried to figure out how to join but then just added it to my favorites

Hello, my name is Jennifer. I'm mid 30's with 3 beautiful girls ages 17, 5 & 1 (yes I know HUGE age gap). My biggest weight hike was before I ever joined MyFitnessPal at 189lbs (I'm only 5'2" on a good day). I'm currently all the way down to 136.2 lbs. which I'm proud to say is the smallest I've been since our 2nd child. I…

I too am back! I origionally joined shortly after the birth of my first child. After friends on here being less than encouraging and making several stressful moves for my husbands work I dropped off. I then tried to join back but remained discouraged with the lack of support. Now that my 2nd is a year old I'm back & I want…

That's great! I too struggle to stay motivated. I origionally joined to loose weight after the birth of my 1st child. I have since went through bouts of inactivity on here and with my regime both from the birth of my 2nd & lack of friend support as they gave up. I've lost a total of 15lbs since I joined but truly have lost…
