Thanks for trying! I looked up "furry caterpillars" on google. I think they might be moths. The apple trees were outside!! I just had the tin/box in the porch until I could transport them to another locale. :) Eating soup and sandwiches.

Picked caterpillars off of my potted apple trees. They also seem to like lavender, sage, and chives, if desperate! The can/tin looks innocent enough! But open it and one finds a plague of furry caterpillars. Does anyone know what kind they are?
