Excellent. I have a robe that I am hoping will get longer as I lose. My nsvs are finally starting to lift weights and avoiding my mother in law's delectable homemade chocolate chip cookies and gourmet ice cream last night. I may have gone over my allotted cals last night, but was still in a slight deficit and only ate…

Your stomach looks awesome -- it's sooo daunting after kids. Congrats!
-
Yes!!!! I am so ecstatic for you! You are a rock star!!! Knowing you are keeping at it inspires me to stay tough too.
-
Bump -- jrobertson how are you doing?
-
30-40lbs to go here too, feel free to add me.
-
Feel free to add me -- mom to a toddler, about a month into this project/lifestyle change. Little by little, I'm making my way back to happy.
-
I see major progress and 9lbs is nothing to scoff at. You totally look like a healthier and happier version of yourself already. Congrats!

Lots of great advice here. I would just note that laying your rawness and shame out there and owning it is a very brave and empowering thing to do. We are all human, all faulty, all prone to doing what is easy over what is uncomfortable. Eating less and moving more will be uncomfortable, for awhile. But you are already in…

My toddler proclaimed my stomach "too hard" to lay his head on ... it's definitely not, but my ribs were harshing his snuggle.

What an incredibly inspiring and poignant story. Congratulations on the BMI and all your success.

You look so narrow and strong now! Amazing job.
-
That is awesome - you rock!
-
Thanks! Totally my hero.

Awesome -- love the muscle tone in the arms. Do you mind sharing your height?

To the op, I lived this way for years with the same bad results and it was killing me physically, spiritually, psychologically. You have to prioritize your meal planning and exercise no matter what deadlines/expectations there are at work. That may mean other kinds of compromises like spending more $ on bought salads, or…

I started around the same weight (though I'm a bit shorter) and am only about a month in. Very cool to see how much you've been able to accomplish already -- I'm inspired!
-
I'm in the same boat/stats pretty much. We can do it.

Lol, yes. All I meant was I love seeing other peoples' progress pics but am too chicken to post my own (not that I've made enough yet to post). I kept checking this thread for pics bc 32 lbs is a huge victory already.

Look at you, 20 lbs down from the initial feelings of hopelessness. That is amazing!!! I hope you'll keep updating here, as so many of us are now invested in your success and journey to self-love.

This is such a tease thread! I keep checking to see Gibby's awesome progress, but still no pics (says the lady too intimidated to post pics, but who lives in the success stories threads for motivation).
-
These are exactly the kind of results I'm hoping for ... 8 months you say, sigh, :s. You look amazing and have clearly worked your a off.

The shirt looks way baggier and your shoulders more defined, way to go! Camp gladiator here you come!

I feel guilty too -- my toddler has come to prefer dad in part because I've started to leave to work out most mornings. But it's a phase and they do adjust to new routines. I keep trying to tell myself that my being healthy and setting a good example of an active adult is good parenting. They are such experts at pushing…

I could have written this post. I'm doing great but I can't help focusing on how big I still am and how far I have to go. On the positive side, I'm actually looking forward to winter this year because I am committed to being near goal around then.

Well, I work a crazy hours stressful desk job and saw weight creep on when I started. I lost and regained it pre-baby and am now trying to lose that weight plus the baby weight. I'm also exercising about that much and eating around that much now (though I may up my calories if I find that the pace of the weight loss I'm…

It me!

I very much want to start wearing a ring that's a memento of my grandmother on my middle finger again, instead of my ring finger, where it has sat for the last 3 years. It's finally loose on the ring finger, but still causing swelling when I try to switch it. Maybe in a couple weeks!

Really enjoying the good info on this thread focusing on a smaller range of weight loss (which definitely still feels impossible to me despite knowing it's mathematically obtainable).
-
This is my favorite before/after I've seen yet. Thank you so much for posting your pics and story. You look AMAZING!

I'm a mom in my early 30s with around 30#s to lose -- add me!
