I'll bump this up for you, I haven't had significant amounts to lose so no on that from me but hopefully you can get some good feedback on here, love the idea!

So I did Week 7 run 3 this past Friday which was supposed to be a 25 minute run but I decided before my workout that I was going to do 30 minutes, I just kept telling myself that it was only 2 more songs I had to run to and I did it. I am now going to SKIP week 8 and go on the do three 30 minute runs (maybe even longer)…

Pop- Yesterday (not feeling well, it was supposed to help settle my stomach..yeah....) When was the last time you laughed so hard you peed your pants?

I finished W5D3 on Friday and it felt great! I run on the treadmill in my garage and have found that covering the display on the treadmill with a towel greatly improves my focus and determination to finish! Good luck everyone!!!

I'm on week 5 day 2 (tomorrow) and it's gone great! I was a little leery because of a knee injury I had/have and have found the intervals doing wonders to help strengthen my knee and make running less painful. I highly recommend giving it a try. Don't get discouraged by how fast or slow you're going, we all have to start…

With hardly any researching at all I found the novice training schedule from Hal Higdon, I'll give it the once over and probably print it out lol
-
I've looked at Hal Higdon's intermediate training guide (I don't know that I should start there though, I believe I'm definitely more of a beginner but I wasn't able to find that one, need to do some more researching). I also found a program on marathonrookie.com that I'm considering as well. I have some major work to do…

I'm currently training for a Tough Mudder event in June, www.toughmudder.com SOOOO excited! After I finish my couch to 5K program (I'm on week 5) I'm going to follow the training schedule for a half marathon.
-
Sounds delicious, thank you for sharing!

I just finished Week 5, day 1 today and felt pretty good. I'm training for www.toughmudder.com at the end of June. Would absolutely love to have some friends who are doing this program and post their work outs! I use a hrm and post all my stats please feel free to add me!

@CallieM15 - I'm guessing the rabbit is 2 and you... 26?

I decided to sign up for an event to keep me motivated. I signed up for Tough Mudder (www.toughmudder.com) which is going to murder me but I'm excited! So every time I think to myself "Oh, I don't feel like working out..." I go and watch the video on the website to get myself pumped up! You could try signing up for a 5K…

I want to try this! Thank you!

Awesome, congrats you look great!!! Keep up all your hard work!

Getting started is the hardest part! Just take that first step and the rest will get easier!

Whistler in June!! Can't wait, never done this before but I am definitely looking forward to it! Need to get my arm strength up though, good thing I have time!

Those tight and sometimes revealing clothes that some ladies choose to wear to the gym were actually made for working out in. This means that they wick the sweat off our hard working bodies to help us keep cool which means we can actually work out in more comfort and for a longer period of time. These specially made…

Bump! I don't know any but I sure want to!!

@Katekentlaw First of thanks for that tip! Also, you'll find millions of threads on here as to which heart rate monitors are the best, everyone has their own opinion so you've asked a loaded question. I've heard a lot of people say the Polar 4 is good. Personally I have the TimeX Ironman Race Trainer that I got from Best…

By the way! A mat for Yoga is definitely a must if you have carpet or find your hands and feet sliding, makes it far easier.

Being on week 2 this week I can already tell a huge difference! I'm not nearly as sore as I was during week one (YAY) and the weights I was using are already too light (boo because I don't have money to buy better ones..). Tomorrow is Yoga again so here's to hoping I don't suck as bad as I did the first time hehe which I…

You're a complete ditz..

I just started my 2nd week today. Someone asked how to put the exercises in on MFP, I wear a heart rate monitor which tells me how many calories I've burned so the very first time I do any of the exercises I add them to MFP and then the next time I do them they are in my list. I did Kenpo last night, SOOOO much fun! I suck…
-
MFP already deficits your daily intake to help you lose some weight. Exercising burns even more calories and if you do not eat them back your body will say "HEY WAIT UP! I'm not getting enough food, I'm starving! Hold it here, we need to go into starvation mode!" And when that happens, you will NOT lose weight because your…

I'm in but with some slight modifications, I don't have quite 10 pounds to lose sooo goal weight it is! I'm 5'8" and want to weigh in at 135 so I've got about 7 pounds to go, the hardest 7 pounds to go..
