  • I personally have went for the 2 meal a day approach which is a brief intermittent fasting. I eat breakfast to start the day as I also do my exercise routine in the mornings and then I eat dinner so generally eat no lunches.
  • Yes there is a fine line between hitting starvation mode and fat synthesis you have to learn the difference with your own body.
  • To be honest drinking 1 gallon of water a day is not a bad thing, but make sure to also supplement your sodium intake as well as your kidneys will be flushing sodium out in droves on low-carb which can cause some kidney pain without replacement. I agree with the other posters idea to get blood work and find out if you have…
  • Quiche is a great way to down the fats for Keto love them. You can make them with so many goodies and very filling.
  • I use a smart scale although not completely accurate it does show me some signs of what mass ratio I am losing or gaining as I only weight once a week so the numbers are more defined. I agree after the first 2 weeks any losses will be a combination of each. That first week of low-carb will definitely be alot of water just…
  • I actually choose Sunday as a cooking day to begin the week. I bought some sets of the freezer safe compartment portion sized containers and cook meals for the week. With this it is easy to make great Keto meals in proper portions without guess work and makes meal planning pretty easy. The new wave oven has become my…

The whey protein turns very quickly to glucose and will spike insulin rather quickly when being inactive from surgery can be detrimental to trying to enter back into Ketosis.
  • Just choose a day each week and make some grab and go breakfast omeletes and eat them as a sandwich without bread or even wrap them in a mama-lupa low-carb tortilla. I would put some vegetable like spinach, some mushrooms, cheese and meats and make sure to fry them up in a good healthy fat mixture of olive oil, butter and…

  • To be honest there is no need to down salt in that fashion just add salt to the meals you eat and drink plenty of water a day your body will adjust and level it out. Pay attention to your body it does give signs to its needs and with time you will be able to read the signs better.

  • I've been on a Ketogenic diet for the last 9 days I am 6ft 250lbs with nerve injury neuropathy after injury and 4 surgeries and now have RSD so working out is dismal at best. The LCHF seems to be a stable lifestyle for losing this sedentary weight of almost 70lbs I have gained. I will checkout the keto forum threads, but…
