I had this conversation with my girlfriend yesterday actually, we went for a long hike and ended up on a discussion about running. I LOVE running and she just struggles to get into it - don't get me wrong, she's very fit and has in many ways athletically, she can put me to shame, except running. My take is this: You have…

When I met my girlfriend I managed to tick the box for all my weaknesses, which is a rare thing!* Sense of humor * Massively athletic * Huge love for the outdoors

Welcome to the community. Having had premium a number of times since it was a thing, I never really found that it was any use to me, that said it has some really useful tools for those who want to track in a lot more detail. Wishing you the very best with your journey!

Good luck on your journey! Having done IF intermittently across the years, I can absolutely say that it can be a great tool and once you’re in the swing of it, I find it quite enjoyable (then, I don’t really enjoy constantly feeling full - depending on your preference here, it will affect how much or a lifestyle curve it…

It’s been such a long time since I posted a selfie here! On my way home from my Health Club in Kensington - had a great workout and a great crisp walk around the park. Feeling pretty chilled!

Just completed my Sims 4 expansion collection.. I burn out on it after a few weeks and go back to it again a couple of weeks later.. Gotta love simmin!

I'm with you on the place needing to be clean - it's actually what caused me to leave my last club (suprisingly - a very popular mainstream gym/tennis club.) Took its members for granted by the end of mymembership! When I pointedthe build up of grime on the machines out to the duty manager, he basically just shrugged it…

Personally I weigh / get stats every 2 weeks. Whatever makes you the most comfortable!

Coffee (VERY strong) then start answering emails from work (whether it’s a work day, day off or holiday.

I use Bose Soundsport Wireless. I’ve had Apple AirPods (both generations) and neither seemed to stay in my ears. Also, they’re fully Waterproof. That being said, I used to use cheap and cheerful headphones several years ago and tbh, they serve a similar purpose. The main thing is being out there getting that fresh air!

In awe of the smile selfie skill!

Seems like a really pleasant guy - very deep in thought, going by his photo

Sat down with my girlfriend, eating Yoghurt, peanut butter and honey - contemplating either going back to bed or going for my run early (it’s 4:44am here). I think I’ve settled on having my run after sleeping!

I’m very ‘take it or leave it’ with them. I go to a pretty fancy health club and I’m sure that if I watched their advertisements, they’d be saying all kinds of rubbish. The bottom line is, I go there because I enjoy it and to me there is value in it. It’s similar with any product. The fact that their adverts are rediculois…

Thankyou :) Yeah, kindness really is key - I think that the wonderful thing about MFP is, the advice you get here is really only a third of the benefit of being here, the friends you make and the kindness that people have for each other is what really goes such a long way to helping each other to succeed. As for getting…

I used to have a Fitbit, my sister uses a Garmin and myself and my girlfriend now both use Apple watches. The kicker is, they all do the same thing to be honest and the smart watch market is pretty dried up. I use the Apple Watch purely because I use Apple products in general but - do I think they’re any better than…

Nope. But now we have, technically ... conversed :) Or that’s my sleepy 3am take anyhow!

I don’t believe so

Sorry to hear about the health struggles! It must be really frustrating - I have to admit, I’m finding that because of an injury to my knee some time back, that haven’t been able to do nearly as much as I used to. Probably actually ended up being more of a blessing to me! As for the weight, none of us are very good at…

New year and new lifestyle! You got this... think of every year before as a diet and this as a positive lifestyle change and you’re sure to succeed! All the best!

Aha yes it really has! And you got it... hiking is life!

Thanks Nony, really great to see you’re still around here and hope you’re doing well! Yeah, it’s been a real struggle coming to terms with it and although fitness will always have a special place in my heart - I have to remind myself to be careful more and more. Really hope that 2020 has got off to a great start for you!
