There are a lot of possibilities and no one on the forum is going to be able to correctly diagnose you. The only advice to really give is to rest and if the pain persists or gets worse, see your physician.

That amount of weightloss would be mostly water weight. And unless you were super bloated to start, you won't notice any change in your body composition anyways. Set reasonable goals and expectations rather than looking for quick fixes.

*nod nod* Here's a good article in regards to the China Study - sciencebasedmedicine.org/the-china-study-revisited/

Not sure about all competitive eaters, but in Japan they are usually under medical supervision and include exercise into their daily routines to make sure they keep healthy. - To clarify - I don't know if this is true for all of them in Japan, but the pros usually do this.

But...we don't. Because as Sidesteel noted - it's not real. And even so, his links don't back up what he's saying AT ALL.

You have no idea what she eats or doesn't eat outside of the office. Although she says she doesn't exercise, you have no clue if that's the truth or if she's active in other ways. Instead of focusing so much on what she's doing and using that as a means to feel sorry for yourself, focus on what you're doing and the…

You need to be the poster person for all those people that continually complain about how they can't eat the way they want because of their S.O, children, roommates, other family, etc.

Would it be possible for you to open up your diary so we can see if that'll help us figure things out better?
-
Do you actually read these things at all or just see something in the title and post it? - this study seems to be faulty in that they were measuring sucralose which means it's not necessarily exercise but this that is causing the issue. Sucralose is an artificial sweetner and so this is more an environmental factor (as it…

*nod nod* All that acid and liquid wouldn't sit well with me before a workout (not to mention the combo doesn't sound tasty at all)

Depends on how much you have to lose. In all honesty, you can't target where you lose fat. So the more you lose, the more this will lessen.

GASPS! Just kidding. It's probably like how I think nutella is nasty.

I don't know about you or anyone else but I find when I go through one of these episodes (the headaches, shakiness, weakness, etc), I actually end up binging like a madwoman. They also have a tendency to set off my migraines as well. Raising my protein did help but when I tried to cut my carbs low - it kept setting off…

I think that's more a form of intermittent fasting (which is a way of eating and not an actual diet). It's where you fast a certain amount of hours (16 in this case) and then allow yourself a window to eat (in this case 8 hours). ETA: There are more variations (i.e. 14:10 - 14 hours fast, 10 hour eating window) if 16:8 is…

Most pre-workouts have a lot of caffeine in them. Maybe try coffee or something along those lines first? If you're still set on a pre-workout, C4 has a good and tasty selection. I use their BCAAs (semi-regularly) and love the taste of them.

Thanks for putting these ideas up. I've been "meaning" to get back into prepping meals and these are inspiring. :)

Have you actually been to China?

I'll just direct you to Anvil's post since he beat me to it

^Definitely the above. The loss of lean muscle mass tends to be more on a faster cut than a slower one.

No. Losing 15-20lbs in the next 2 months is not doable for you You've said you've had issues being consistent and sticking with things and I think trying to aim for a very extreme deficit isn't going to help you with this problem. According to your ticker on your profile, you are looking to lose 43lbs. I'd input MFP at a…

You may not necessarily "need" to build your abs more to pop them out. Some people have to get to a lower body fat % than others to really see them.
-
Is it that "time of the month" for you? I've been known to gain 3-8lbs of water weight because of it. Did you eat something sodium heavy the past couple days? Give it a couple weeks and see where you're at. Even IF you're still at the current weight, don't get discouraged. Just keep on logging your food and working on a…

Why isn't it good for you?

The only fast results you'd probably see is due to reduced glycogen.

I feel your pain.

And raspberry ketones.
