So...I have lost 4lbs this week. That's real weight loss then. But I can't possibly have eaten at a 14000 deficit? I'm not starving myself. I really think cico isn't quite as black and white as people make out that it is.

I've lost 36lbs in just over 3 months. But it's all down to individual stats, what you can live with and maintain, lifestyle etc. Just find a deficit that's realistic that you can stick with and do that. It will take as long as it takes!!

Thank you everyone. Some really great advice, all very sensible and exactly the sort of reminders I needed. I know I should be proud of myself and what I've achieved so far. I will try to just look forward to the wedding and I guess look forward to future times when I can be even more proud of myself. Will buy spanx asap!

I have 11 month old twins, I gained 50lbs during pregnancy and I've lost 29lbs so far (in the space of 3 months), so still at least 21 to go as I'd ideally like to be a stone lighter than my pre pregnancy weight. It's hard!!!

Yes I log accurately using a food scale. I am aiming to lose a further 31lb which would bring me to 10 stone which is healthy for my height.

Yes I do walk them around a lot, we are usually out for usually about 2 or 3 hours a day but because it's a bit random how long I walk and whether it's hilly or not etc I don't eat back those calories :)

My priority is my children. Fine. I'm CHOSING not.to exercise because I don't want to dump my kids in daycare...they're 9 months old!!!! I get plenty activity walking them around I don't think it's necessary for me to dump them with stranger but thank you for your unsolicited opinions on my "priorities".

Also I cannot do any deliberate excersise because I care for my 9 month old twins on my own between 6am and 8pm then after that I have housework/cook dinner. I get shirt breaks when they nap but that time is coffee and clean up time, and ten mins on here logging!

Thanks for reply. I have just done some further research on it and answered my own question!! It seems in clinical trials takers of alli only lost a further 5.5lb per year than those who just ate healthier!! Also gross side effects...not really worth it for 5lbs. Oh well. Back to the grind...
