Ran PHUL which this sounds a lot like. I did end up with a very serious over use injury that I can’t recover from. However it really came down to my deload management and probably should have cycled out heavy lifting (RPE 9) every 8-10 weeks.

Doesn’t really matter . Think big picture. Lift don’t lift. Lifting doesn’t really burn many calories. The only thing and i repeat the only thing that matters right now is upping your calories 5 fold. Adding POUNDS per week. Even if you gained ten pounds of pure fat ( which you won’t) you would still be shredded body fat…

Calorie is king in weight management. Macros for exercise performance, muscle growth and retention, individual satiety. Personally carbs are what make me full
-
Do I have a woo stalker? Doesn’t seem to matter where or what I post. If so, that would make me feel very special
-
Why would you try and stop consuming carbs?
-
You realize poeple can be on keto AND calorie count? But anyhow don’t do a diet you cannot sustain. Eat whatever and just be in a deficit assuming fat loss is your goal
-
I’m feeling left out here 😪 lol
-
Small surplus, adequate protein, proven progressive overload program from the sticky or similar. That’s about it

These posts continue to be a cry for help. Your not answering anyone’s questions or seemingly taking any advice to eat significantly more food. Once more how many calories a day do you eat? My guess is your barely eating and what you are eating is strictly volume foods without any caloric density. You are doing significant…

Good answers so far but define “strict diet”? Are you in a calorie deficit? Or eating at maintenance and going for recomp? Or you don’t know your calories and are just eating “healthy”?
-
If you keep your surplus in check and your training is appropriate you will not put on excess fat just because you turned to some “dirty” foods to fill in the rest of your calories I’ve done two bulks and I was a former overweight person so I totally get the nervousness but both bulks I enjoyed some good food and didn’t…

Welcome to the internet and a public forum

Under absolute perfect circumstances as a natural you can hope to gain at a 1:1 ratio. This assumes your not a ten year pro. So if you gain ten pounds then cut 5 maybe you would be there. It sounds so simple in practice but maybe shoot for 15 pounds over several months and then cut. Rinse and repeat Until your happy

Your not going to gain 5 pounds of muscle while losing 2% of body fat. You would probably need to bulk then cut Calorie is king in a bulk. For the general lean bulk it’s 200-300 surplus from maintenance. Protein at .8-1. Fat .3 to .6 and carbs for the rest. Proven progressive overload program

Weight lifting

As someone said, Have some ice cream As long as your getting sufficient micros and hitting your macro mins there is no reason to not hit up some donuts, ice cream, cookies. The surplus amount drives fat gain and not so much what your eating. The "bulk" is the time to enjoy these things. They're much harder to fit in on an…

Google IIFYM Instread. If it fits your macros. Should get you away from the keto stuff Eat basically what you eat now. Just get sufficient protein and be in a reasonable deficit
-
No cardio. Not minimal. None. Not right now. Peanut butter sandwiches. Calorie Dense food. Lots of carbs , fats and protein. Donuts and ice cream if you have to. you still haven’t said how many calories a day you eat but whatever it still is, is not enough.
-
Although cardio can help create a calorie deficit cardio is really for building endurance and cardiovascular health. If your main goal is weight loss then I would ensure your in a calorie deficit, weight train and throw in some cardio after weights or non lifting days a couple times a week
-
Such nonsense here. Ignore this one
-
Counted calories, weighed my food, ensured I was in a reasonable deficit. Extremely consistant. Resistance training. Lost 80 pounds. And no , I didn’t go low carb. Not necessarily nor advantageous to any other diet. I ate everything I use to eat, just less.
-
You have muscle mass. Your back is jacked. I would cut
-
Meal timing is irrelevant and aminos are a waste of money. At the end of the day , as long as you hit your protein totals then you’ll be fine
-
“Do you have cancer” . Yep ..really
-
Goood grief carbs do not make you fat nor do they stall weight loss. I was never under 250 carbs and lost over 80 pounds. Some of those junk carbs..gasp
-
Wow put down the Fung and Berg articles. Utter nonsense
-
Losing weight (counting calories) and starting excercise 100% reversed my high blood pressure. I restrict no foods and don’t watch sodium. You may find the same

Taco Tuesday?
-
It’s really not any different . I’d rather have an McFlurry then a weight gainer shake

Eat everything. Anything and everything. Nothing should be off limits. Do you know how many calories a day your eating?
