I agree with all the above- the exercise is causing some water retention. I see 4 pound swings all the time when I change things up with weights or videos. I think the first time you went line dancing you also noticed a jump but the scales moved back down right away. Hang in there- you will see some changes.

3/25-3/27 Maintenance on the scale for the weekend. I didn’t have as much protein as intended due to poor planning and was over on calories yesterday. I was also less active to take a short break before starting new this week on strength and hiit programs. I’ll chalk this month up to a learning one.

3/23-3/24 The scale is back to bouncing around even with lower calories and zero snacking in the evenings. I’m hoping for an unexpected whoosh downward. Until then I’ll try and stay patient and focus of much more fun stuff!

3/17-3/19 I started my cut finally this month and am seeing results. I’m down 4 pounds which is all water weight. 3/17 I buckled down and focused on protein yesterday and stayed under calories. It helped that I had a late afternoon appointment that kept me from my normal boredom snacking and had dinner later than normal. It was a nice day so I got in a short walk outside between a full calendar of meetings. Come on spring!
