I weigh myself everyday and take pictures every other day so I can look back and see changes. I also use my gym workouts to track my progress (how long I can run, how much I can lift, etc).

I just got my first compliment for my weight loss from someone that didn't know that I was trying to lose weight

Oh and my next goal is to get down to conquer C25k W5D3- the dreaded 20 minute run. I was so scared of it but not anymore!

I've been thinking about this since posting. Tonight I was supposed to do C25k W5D2- 8 minute runs. When I was about to finish my first 8 minute run, I thought "what if I went on to 13.5 minutes (1 mile)?" And then I just did it!! I fist pumped and almost cried

My mini goal is to be able to run for a mile straight. I haven't been able to do it since freshman year of high school. I'm up to about 8 mins of jogging, but I need to increase to about 14 minutes at the pace that I run.

I've got many NSVs because I forced myself to wait until I finished reading the whole thread until I posted, but I'm most proud of my last doctor's appointment. At my last appointment, my doctor was concerned about cholesterol and the way that my weight was just going up. My asthma was not well controlled and my ibs was…

A verse that I like: 2 Timothy 1:7 "For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control."

Congrats! I'm excited because I am winning my office weight loss challenge right now. It may be because most of the people in the challenge went golfing (aka drinking) this weekend, but I am still pumped that I am in the lead.

Bananas work well for me when I'm wanting a fruit that is filling.

I log activity if it is way above and beyond the activity level that I have set in MFP. One thing to note is that your set activity level is an average of your activities. The days that you are not getting as much normal activity should balance the ones where you do slightly more. When I was cleaning my house to prepare…

I hosted Mother's Day this year so I had some say in what was cooked. When my Granny offered to bring her mac and cheese and my mother in law offered to make homemade strawberry cheesecake ice cream for the potluck, I made sure to ask my mom to bring a salad and fruit to make sure the meal also included food that was…

I am apple shaped as well and 5'1". I was a US size 4 when I was 112 lbs.

If you are still in the process of losing weight, I would suggest New York & Company. They often have buy 1 get 1 free sales on pants, so you can get them at a great price. For higher quality, I like Ann Taylor or Banana Republic. I know that Ann Taylor has pants in different fits, including one for curvier women.

Before I gained weight due to stress and lifestyle changes, I was maintaining steadily at 120. I carry weight around my stomach, so I didn't look too small even at my lowest weight, which was 112. I think that I will try to up my calories by 100 so that I net ~1270 calories/day and drink more water. My iron tends to be…

Yes, I'm eating back about 85% of my exercise calories. In total, I'm eating ~1370 calories/day and then burning ~200 calories through moderate exercise (combination of rowing, C25K, and strength training).

Thanks for all of the advice. I have been rounding some entries up, "to be safe", which may be my downfall. I don't think the coffee drinking is causing my symptoms, as I was drinking 1-2 cups of black coffee already and it has only increased to ~3 cups/day. I've been a bit intense on my diet because I joined a 5 week…

I take Zyrtec and Nasocort daily. Afrin is really good for nasal allergies and Sudafed works too. Mucinex if you can feel it going to your chest.

I'm a DD and usually wear 2 sports bras for the extra support. The bottom one is larger and covers more, which works as extra support and to protect the tighter one from cutting into me.

I don't have trouble feeling drowsy taking it. The reason why I would still like to do some exercise is that my migraines are tied very closely to my stress levels. Exercising is one of the things that I'm trying to reduce my stress levels.

I got a exception in middle school to take extra math classes instead of PE. My fitness declined and I never got it back on track.

I have heard many times that the best workout that you can do is one that you enjoy and will stick with. I haven't worked out in 6 years so I figured that I would start with workouts that I can stand. I'm planning on reassessing in a couple of months to balance my workout more, but now I'm just trying to force myself to go…

I was placed on this diet a year ago for digestive issues. Ended up eating turkey and brown rice almost exclusively for 8 weeks, as well as getting rid of coffee. It helped a lot to heal my system so that I could add normal food back in, as well as jump started my weight loss with 10 lbs. I also figured out that I have to…

Before I started going to the gym 3 weeks ago, I was drinking 2-3 cups of coffee per day to get through my work day even though I was sleeping 8-9 hours/night. Now that I've been working out 5x/week, I've found myself craving water instead of coffee and cut my intake to less than 1 cup/day. I've also got the courage to…
