If you can read the highway sign, you can figure out what part of the world I live in. :joy:

These are the worst people, imo. They fail to understand that a.) there are multiple ways to "rise up" and not all of them involve office jobs or jobs of "high moral standing", b.) not everyone has the same opportunities present for the area(s) they live, c.) not everyone has the same ability to move to a new location to…

YOUR DISAGREE CUTS ME LIKE A WARM KNIFE THROUGH BUTTER.

I HAVE A DRY COUGH.... IS IT COVID??

He's gone from being a rambunctious *kitten* who knocks all my stuff over to an adorably hyper love-bug. He always wants attention, is always happy and always looking for *my* lap. Not any lap, MY lap.

This is Jonesy: He likes to take up my lap while I watch things on the computer.. doesn't matter if I'm in the middle of something or not, if there's a lap, he sits.

2008 me thought this was apparently totally appropriate clothing for a hike through tick-infested woods and a cave.

Why does beef jerky gotta be so chewy? It's really hard on my jaw (I have a clicking jaw on one side). Good flavor, but the chewing.. yeesh.

Too cute, ha ha! :)

I live in MS. There's a lot of good food here and really friendly people. Also, you can charter trips to go watch dolphins, ride an air boat for a swamp tour (or kayak/canoe it) and there's loads of stuff to do in New Orleans (about two hours from where I live). I know it might be scary, but as a person who travels the…

YIKES, what happened? Did the trees get Covid, too? Honestly, it probably is Covid related: sick workers, lack of resources, harder to ship, shipping delays, etc. It's a big laundry list of industries and consumer products that have been strongly impacted because of the pandemic and economic issues. :(

I chopped off a good portion of my hair this weekend. Really got tired of looking at my hair the way it was for 5+ years.

Found a mini-golf place this weekend for mother's day (went on Sat.). First time getting to go DO anything since last June! Also got to return to the Korean place on the other side of town for some pickled veggies and BBQ. I'm really looking forward to when we finally get to leave the U.S. and hang out in S. Korea for…

Our cats both passed last year within a month of one another. They were 13. I remember having the same gentle conversation with Magellan before he left this world. Our son was present when he passed and helped send him over the "rainbow bridge". He was only 8. Yesterday (May 7), I was reminded that they would have turned…

BRING ALL THE BURGERS TO THE BRITS (and other nationalities, too)! Burgers are so versatile. Was not aware Brexit would so vastly impact your food and drink administrations. What are chicken nuggets at fast food places like that? Uniform and weird like ours or actual chunks of chicken meat that are deep fried? I have…

I think you misunderstand: Fast food joints that originated in the US are drastically different once they go overseas. Not necessarily better, but different. UK rules and regulations are different (and stricter) than the US ones that regulate how food is made, what is allowable filler, etc. Same with Japan. A burger from a…

I was about to comment about your poor choice, but then I remembered that the UK has VASTLY different burgers in their fast food chains than we do here in the states. Anything from BK here in the states is mediocre at best (outside of their spicy chicken sandwich which was surprisingly good for a fast food sandwich). My…

Oh man, I haven't been to Braum's in ages! Haven't lived in an area that had them for that long, either.

You gotta be careful. MFP really doesn't like any topic that can be considered divisive. Things about politics, religion and gender (politics) tend to get locked down really quickly because people just do *not* know how to remain civil. Heck, I was part of a conversation in the debate forum about cancer and chemotherapy…

Dust bunnies, a crock pot, a cheese grater and plastic cutlery. Oh, and a banana hook.

Most of what I listen to has already been mentioned but two I didn't see yet: *Skeptoid - science/fact based podcast using logic to puzzle out some of the paranormal, unexplained or unscientific things that circulate around on the internet. * QI: No Such Thing as a Fish - weekly podcast by the cast of QI, a British fact…

I got my first dose of the vaccine today and then walked back home. So far, so good!
