No, I hadn't! Thanks for the recommendation! :)

I am grateful that I am allowed to learn Korean with the help of an amazing instructor (who is hilarious) for free due to my partner's job (learning the language is actually recommended, but not required and I usually try to learn them anyway when we go overseas for job stuff). It's interesting. But I feel like I'm getting…

You have Skittles/Starburst. Most of the kids who have allergens can still eat those. A lot of the people in our neighborhoods just opted to have a tiny side bucket of cheap toys/stickers *just-in-case*.

Pretty much. I appreciated the information, although I have no personal reason to follow it. I also am not 100% on using a specific color to help "label" a person walking down the street. I understand the reasons behind it, but I dunno.. it still feels icky. Like having a giant sign on my forehead that states "I STRUGGLE…

I do not know if it will help you any, but.. my dad went from parenting every day to parenting once a month (on a weekend) and I never loved him less or felt like his parenting was less-than simply because the time allotted to us was once a month for two days. And I still have a closer relationship with my father than I do…

The boys were being extra cute today.

Interesting. Also, ha ha, "trustafarians". I love it. Most of the people I know who are nomadic/semi-nomadic are very down-to-earth and more akin to the guides you've encountered. They do it because they love it and they hated being tethered down to an apartment in a city or even a home in the suburbs. I think it helps…

They honestly sound like *the* quintessential people nomadic living would work for. Which is cool; happy to see people doing what they want and getting along while doing it for so long. I can imagine that at some point, as you get older, living in your van all the time might see you waking up with more aches and pains than…

That it's neat that I'm learning Korean, but that that 6 hours a day is a lot.. and that I don't really miss being in school. Leaves next to no time to do ANYTHING else.

You need the USB box like I have. It lights up and makes Tardis noises when you plug things into it (I use ours as an external USB hub, but you can use it to charge USB devices, too). :)

There's essentially no difference (in my opinion) between RVing everywhere and "van life". Both are about escapism to the outdoors, while maintaining some (or most) of the amenities of home life (a home on wheels essentially). Both have pretty much the same pros and cons. Plenty of (usually) older people I know gave up…

I'm a tad irked that someone posting an informative post about different colored trick or treat pails to signify allergies or autism led to a massive petty squabble in an online FB group I'm part of. The person posting was only passing along information from our local news station and yet, some d-bag just had to come on…

The cat in the background makes that the best... just like "nope, you're on your own dude".

Ah, looks like management caught the errant (spam-esque) posts. Go team!
-
Ha ha ha, no kidding!

Why are there so many "test" posts clogging up Chit-Chat this morning from "test" accounts that make no sense (IE, the usernames are just test+random letters)? It's very.. spammy.

Amazon. I think it's an Allegra K dress if you're looking it up. I've had it for awhile, so not sure if they still sell it since they rotate their styles by season. But they usually have some variation of this dress (with pockets).

Nope, everyone's welcome by what I've seen and read! If you need to vent/share, go for it!

Thanks! Amazon find + it has pockets!

HYYY, you realize I was talking about and referring to myself, yeah? Not other people.

When you get one of those headaches that just sorta.. creep up on you. Insidious and slow-like.

HYYY, You know you aren't committed, so why are you here? Are you hoping to gain some momentum from seeing successful people? What's your reason for remaining for so long and yet never seeing results from any of your efforts? A conundrum for sure.

I'm not committed.

How they approach a person with differing viewpoints than their own. Are they kind? Respectful? Countering opinions or facts politely?

The parking situation in D.C. Was told recently that the parking near the school where we're supposed to conduct language lessons is $120 per month (no daily fees) and that no one will validate it. That leaves taking the Metro (which is not an issue for me), but it's already a drive to get to the Metro to park and ride and…

The first kind are the superior of the two anyway and no one can convince me otherwise.
