I am sorry you have so many different things you need to keep track of, all of the time. You carry a heavy load. And I can understand why some days it is just too much to bare. So feel free to vent when you need to...

Remind yourself lifestyle change not a diet. And as much as it pains us to remember this. The weight mostly likely was not all gained in 8 weeks, or even 3 months. So the real deal is it will take time to come off. And we humans just are not very patient. But hey you are doing great, congratulations on your hard work.

That is a big weight loss in a pretty short period of time, and will be tough to maintain. Having said that my suggestion would be to consider moving your protein up, fats up a small amount, and carbs down. Did MFP pick 1200? Or did you pick as the lowest number you could do? I bumped up to 1400, below is what is…

My suggestion, is to read all of the stickies. Get a food scale, and weigh all solid foods before eating. Log every bit of food that you eat. Now here is my big suggestion and kind of goes along with some of the above comments. I suggest you go on a Low to Moderate Carb diet. Wait do no panic. I am not talking a KETO diet.…

Welcome, there is a group for diabetics if you are interested. I am a type 2, been one for twnty years now. So do understand the need to control it, and lose weight. I am working on both. Read the stickies, there are tons of good information in them. I am on a lower carb diet, with my endocrinologists full backing. I am…

Wishing you luck. Read the stickies on how to get started. Best advice and you will see it over and over. Buy a food scale, weigh everything solid before you eat it. Log all food everyday. Those two items have helped me so much. Cuz i can say with first hand knowledge it gets even harder the older one is. But it will come…

I like eggs, alas they seem to not like me. For reasons I have never understood they make my stomach hurt if they are hardboiled, deviled eggs, scrambled and so on. But if mixed in with other things normally ok. I have been working on the Chaffle recipes this week and so far so good. Egg, cheese a wee bit of almond flour…

I have a secret, no you are not yet motivated mentally. You may be saying the right words out loud to yourself and others but you are not there yet. This may not help you out at all, or maybe it will. I read about it somewhere. Make two lists one for all the good reasons to drop some weight. Call it the Pro list. Another…

If you happen to have any type of electronic reader there are tons of cookbooks for this. And often less than $3 with tons of recipes. Slowcookers and or Instant Pots are great as well. Put protein of choice in, some liquid and spices and away you go. My favorite is about 3 lbs of chicken, some minced garlic, chicken…

Doing pre-logging has been a huge help for me. Right down to I pre-log snacks. So I enjoy them and stay within my overall allotment of calories and carbs. And enjoy every bit of it.

To add to what AnnPT77 said natural occurring sugar is no big deal. Think fresh fruits and veges, and dairy products as areas that yep has sugars. I happen to be a type 2 diabetic. And my Dr's said make sure you hit your fiber, as well as protein, fat and carb numbers. And as long as you stay away from most heavily…

Work in progress. But what has helped me the most, is what I call my me first thought process. I am a good person, I deserve to be happy, I will do what it takes to get there. Kind of a mantra I talk to myself lots. I have really learned by reading so many posts, that logging is a huge help. And also if I know what I am…

I really like M&M's, but some reason I have never liked them in cookies. No idea why. And this time of year all thoughts have gone to Pumpkin Cookies, better yet Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookies.

I still practice this. Went through rehab for lower back/hip issue this year. So first was to ptractice 30 seconds for each foot. But key I was told, stand up straight, shoulders back, no slouching (I was guilty of this). And the foot that was being held up could not touch other leg or foot in any way. Once I could do on…

Health Wise I buy via Amazon, comes in various flavors. Not cheap. I like the hot chocolate, one with marshmallows, cinnamon. They also have mint, raspberry, mocha and armaretto. Some may have a bit more calories and carbs. But I do not think any have more than 5 carbs. I mix a packet with 10 oz of hot water. 15g of…

I have been referring to it as a lifestyle change, that is going to last the rest of my life. As I too not fond of the word diet. And even weight loss has all types of thoughts and memories not all good with it. So for me what works is about the Lifestyle I am changing. Because food management, buying, preparing is a big…

Halloween, love all the kids in costumes. And in Florida you can see the costumes. Opposed to much of the rest of the country where I saw snow forecast ugh. Sitting in the driveway, hanging with neighbors kind of a block party event.

I learned to quit looking at it as just losing weight, just getting from here to there. And being realistic about the weight gain. It did not happen in 3 months or 6 months it was a number of years. So first thing I did was I joined one of the monthly challenges on MFP that is to lose 5lbs per month. I still have lots to…

Sorry what everyone has written is true. Diet Coke did not make you gain weight. Now if you were eating something along with the Diet Cokes that could be the culprit. A couple of suggestions. Talk to your OB/GYNE ask now for a refferal to a Dietician. So that you can learn about a healthy good plan to follow while you are…

Low Carb out??, strange it is what I use. Yes, yes I know it really comes down to CICO, and I get that totally. But for me, I do via low carb, in the neighborhood of 50 total carbs per day. Do not follow Atkins, but must admit I do love that endulge carmel peanut cluster snack bar a few times per week. I personally think…

Wow Congratulations, losing 140 lbs from sometimes in 2018 to October 2019 is incredible and then some. I know I have seen other threads about the loose skin situation. If you do a search I am sure you can find lots of information. Some say it takes a certain amount of time after a huge weight loss, for your skin to keep…

Pinterest, Google, Facebook all have countless recipes for Keto, Low Carb you name it. Another way to get tons of recipes for any type of meal. Is so many of the avenues for books, Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Bookhub. Many have free apps for phones as well. I admit I have gotten to using online info for new quick meals lots.

I think some differences in scales happen. And can be somewhat put down to type of scale. At my primary care Dr. I know that scale will show me to be 2lbs heavier than my scale at home. Yet the scale at my Endocrinologist office has a difference of 1.25. Both Dr offices hace slightly different type of scales. These…

Your hard work most certainly shows. Congratulations.

I am a diabetic and can assure you that sugar alone is not the reason for big swings in blood sugar numbers, that show up on glucose meters. Other things could be the food we eat, that are not sugar driven like rice, pasta and so on. Also stress is well known, as being sick for driving blood sugar numbers out of whack. I…

Sugar, so vilified. I think of sugar and butter (fat) as the ultimate fraternal twins working together to do a delightful job of making the world fat/obese if not eaten in moderation. But the issue is of course on people not the sugar and or butter. Yet the amount of sugar in various forms that are in soda, pop, cola…

How did you determine the 1200 calories even for Keto? In general losing 2 lbs a week falls under people who have large amounts of weight to lose. LIke 75 or more pounds. And the less weight one is trying to lose then the weekly amount becomes less. So here in MFP if you put in your height, age, weight it will give a daily…

Sure treat the red stoplight as a stop sign, it is late at night, you will never get caught.
