Look up learned helplessness, looks like that is what your husband is trying to induce in you

I have a cold, lesson learned from last time I tried exercise with a cold, have to wait till it's done
-
I can touch my thumb and forefinger around my opposite wrist. It's been at least a decade, possibly two, since I could last do that

Stategy and organization beats willpower and motivation, work out what actions will make it easier to carry through with your plans e.g. I will have my lunch pre prepped, so all I have to do in the morning is pack it, no decision required
-
You're going to have to decide to make exercise a priority and schedule it. Can you pre prep some meals to cut down cooking time and start training your scions to do cleanup chores if you haven't already :-)

If you're able to, crawling can be good exercise, also aqua exercise, but depends in why you're restricted.

5:2 doesn't work for everyone, if you're interested try it, but you would probably need to do the fasting days on rest days
-
Just make sure you're logging all food, don't worry about calories for now, you can gradually adjust, rather than dropping all at once
-
Find a hobby you like that you want clean hands for. Harder to get bored if you're working on something that needs both hands and your mind
-
There's also a thing known as newbie gains, so if you're just starting strength training and are sufficiently overweight, and not too large a deficit you may gain some muscle while losing weight, but we are not taking large amounts
-
Don't shop when you're hungry or tired, and maybe visualise something disgusting poured over those cookies
-
Any exercise will help you as long as your eating is maintaining a deficit, do you have any dreams you could turn into a goal, e.g. Obstacle course, rock climbing, being able to do a pull up?

Went to the Salvation Army shop on Saturday and had enough choices that I found a pear of jeans that fit. I'm shrinking out of the pair I bought a few weeks back
-
Sissisoli, not sure who you were referring to, but 50 pounds is not enough to give me loose skin, you can stop once you lose enough that you start noticing a problem,
-
Start with logging, tell yourself you won't make any other changes for at least two weeks, preferably a month
-
The best diet is one you can stick with. Logging your food helps with this. If you can make notes re this was an easy day, or I was really hungry, or irritable etc you can then look back to see what went well if you start having problems
-
Don't make annoucements about what you intend to do, and throw salt or something bitter on to whatever sweet things he brings home ;)

Hi, I'm 50, six months in, approx 50 pounds down, at least that much to go. Persistence matters, if you find yourself getting frustrated remember that stopping doesn't nust mean staying at your current weight it probably means you will gain. Start slowly, if you find you've made too many changes to keep up forgive yourself…

Hi I'm from Adelaide, 25 k down after six months, feel free to friend me

Eating a lot of simple carbs can make you feel tired. It might be worth experimenting with cutting down added sugar as much as possible for three or four weeks and see how your energy levels are.

Ran to catch the train, had too far to go to get to the station on time if I walked the whole way. was surprised at how much time I cut off considering how slow I thought t was running
-
Go for a walk, make a plan to map out your local neighborhood

All that extra sodium he is getting from eating out means water weight could be masking any actual weight loss. Plus it's harder to know if you are maintaining a deficit if you cannot be accurate. If he can cut the eating out to once or twice a week he might see better results
-
Alcohol can lead to dehydration, which can lead to constipation, so some of that weight could be because the food you've eaten hasn't all come out yet, try drinking extra water this week and see what happens
-
There was another study that indicated that reducing your ability to taste by drinking ice water at a meal increases the amount you eat (assuming you are not measuring your intake)
-
I've never had that, but my suggestion would be to say "no, I have health issues and if you keep bringing it up I'll tell you all about them in detail"
-
Tried on my Mount Gambier moleskin pants, last time I wore these was after I lost weight for my brothers wedding, about 18 years ago. I could do them up, had to lie down to undo them, but a couple more weeks and I'll be able to use them

If you want to reduce the need for calorie counting, the traffic light system could be helpful, with its every day, sometimes and occasional food types. However some type of therapy to help with anxiety may also be useful

Look up nerd fitness, or google bodyweight workouts to find examples of strength training, you don't need any equipment to start
