Knowing his way around the gym. Doesn't have to be super buff, but simply knowing how different exercises target different parts of the body, being able to spot, correct form, etc.

Eggs - the whole egg. Almonds (and some other nuts). Cheese is actually a good source of fat, as well as some other dairy products like whole fat yogurt.

I understand your struggle. I was definitely addicted to soda, usually having at least two a day. The only thing that worked for me was cutting it out cold turkey.
