I'd love to have your body, I'm overly curvy! You look fantastic. Confidence is key! Glad you found yours.

Agreed! Shortly after starting MPF, someone told me basically eat all the watermelon you want, because it's mostly water! I can literally eat a pound of watermelon. I learned that lb is 135 cals. Those cals count no matter how healthy they are.

You're coming up on three weeks. Sometimes it takes a while, most people say three weeks actually. If you are logging/weighing/measuring everything you eat/drink, staying at goal, you will lose. A lot lose water at the beginning but you are mercilessly working out, so your muscles are probably repairing with water.

Try replacing those low cal likely high sodium Lean Cuisines with the same cals of fresh food. That will help even more. And I'm not trying to be sarcastic. I used to think soups, though just 250 cals for the can, were good. Good for cals, bad for sodium and water retention.

While I agree, it's also important to have an accurate measurement of calories burned. Some people do themselves a disservice by eating back what they think/show that they burned, when the actual is a lot less. I haven't yet figured out how to accurately account for cals burned myself, so I don't eat them back. May just…

Agreed with Esther. You can eat up to 1390, which already has your deficit built in. Even if you go over the 1390 slightly, you're likely still at a deficit, but that depends on how many pounds per week you have it set to.

Had mine out, had both stones and it was diseased. Best decision ever. The pain was unbearable. Yes, large meals (no matter what they consisted of, could have been salad only) or small amounts of fat triggered attacks. Only took a few of those for me to not eat the fat and have smaller meals....then planned for the…

I've lost 2 of my dog. When I hit the 25 lb mark, I realized it was equal to carrying around my dog. Crazy indeed when you think about it that way. No way I could carry two of her around all day, yet I was! Well done Hammer!

I think what you're feeling is normal. First few months, I didn't slip at all....then after a few months, someone said they swore having a large meal (higher in fats/carbs, etc then they normally would), ending up giving them some satisfaction and also gave their bodies a little jump start again. Now, every few weeks I'll…

Nosh on only the 'safer' foods. Chicken, seafoods, veggies, etc. Do a quick add with an overestimate. Can't always account for everything all the time. IMO, all that matters is that most of the time it's entirely accurate. Plus, noshing on small amount of good foods isn't going to derail you. Noshing on fried appetizers…

I find that now instead of seeing movement on the scale each day, I will see every 3 or 4 days. Sometimes it stalls for a week and restarts. What I find motivating is to look back at progress charts. You see a pattern. For me, although some weeks I feel stagnant, overall, the loss is 9 to 10 lbs every 30 days. Having…

Everything is processed. Society is desk bound. We are short on time so we eat prepared meals. These are pretty well known facts.
-
Every time you choose to put or not put something in your mouth is a new chance. Frozen waffles are highly processed and offer no nutritional value. That's why they don't fill you up. Waste of calories. Make them count. You can have a large plate of egg white. Spinach, salsa for 200 cals. Packed with protein. It will keep…

Celebrate away. It's your body, your accomplishment, it's your party. You don't owe anyone an explanation. This is about pleasing yourself. Congrats.

I too thought I was eatting well and moving. Then I started to log everything and weigh myself and got a fitbit. I learned I was not eatting well enough or moving enough and weighed much more then I thought. Log. Stay in budget. Move more. Weigh yourself. Unless you have a medical condition, your weight will decrease.…

I'm down 44. At the beginning, that scale went down like clockwork every single morning. Very encouraging. Now, it may take a week, but it continues to move in the right direction. And that's what matters, right? Good things take time, patience and hard work. You've put in much effort to be down 30 and that's one hell of…

If I go out to eat, and there's no calorie count, I still make smart choices, meaning not something smothered in cheese. BUT I enjoy. I cheat, knowing damn well it's will put me over 1200 for the day. I have some bread. A martini and then over log it at like 2500. Doesn't really make a difference, because tomorrow is back…

Another vote for vaping. Make sure the nicotine content is high enough to deter you from cheating. You made a great decision to quit. Congrats.
-
I wish I had this same problem! My trouble is staying at or below the 1200. I succeed but with diligent efforts.
-
I too have a scale issue. Every day. Then I get nutso if it's up a pound or half of one. You're not alone.

I'm happy to help motivate and be motivated. I started at 223 Feb 20 2017. 176.5 as of this morning. It's hard work, every day. But doable.
-
At first, it was tedious. A chore to log. But eventually is becomes second nature. Now when I eat out, it feels odd not to log everything. Agreed with prelogging in the morning. Also give you an idea how many calories you'll have extra, to either bank or spend on a treat, or to know how much you should work out that day to…

Checking in. Getting married Oct 1. Started Mfp Feb 21. Down 33 pounds. Another 30 to go. Am pleased to say I exchanged my dress from the 18 I had to a 14! Hoping to exchange one more.time if I can banish the last 30. Good luck brides!

I check not only my calorie intake and exercise but also my nutrients and macros. Gives you a good idea where you need to tweak. Some supposedly healthy food, like canned soup, is low in calories and fat but crazy high in sodium.. Sodium adds to bloat which equally unhappy scale for a day or two. Some people say dieting…

Going from an 18 to a 14 in my wedding dress and being pretty sure the 14 will need to be exchanged again for a smaller size come Sept!

Very proud of everyone. 5'5, I started at 221 Feb 20th. 195 now. Goal? Realizing from these pics that everyone carries their weight differently, maybe 160? Not obsessed with the number or the size pants, currently the same 18 I was 26 pounds ago, but how I look and feel. Keep up the good work folks!
