  • Well never really. Weight will always flux up and down based on Things like bathroom breaks, hydration, salt , ect. It has been super helpful for me to use a weight trending app that smooths out the trendline and alows me to see the trend. I use Libra on android but I hear Happy scale is good on apple.

  • Instead of bringing your tastebuds down bring them up. I have found I am much more satisfied with low calorie foor is very flavorful. Look in your spice cabinet and start using them much more. Challenge yourself on ways to make healthy foods much more delicious and flavorful. Go ahead and have potatoes but also dry grating…
  • I volunteer once every other week at my local food pantry. People as you stock up for yourself keep reasonable , but do also consider dropping stuff off for your local food pantry. There is not enough tp , tampons, soap, hand sanitizer donated on a regular basis and those who are using a food pantry can not stock up. So…
  • Happy birthday. The only way a fee alcoholic drinks that fit into your calories hurts weight loss is that a few drinks makes me at least more likely to indulge in the plate of nachos and the cake that don't fit in my calories.
  • Why do this on the difficult setting. It is hard enough as it is. A scale is simply a tool to help and costs as little as six dollars at Walmart. A fancy version might be 20 dollars . To me that is a cheap and easy investment in life improvement
  • I have 6 artichoke plants growing. I am preparing for the artichoke apocalypse
  • Weigh ins Ash weds 202.8 March 4 : 201.0 This week I went and bought two cases of hand sanitizer at aldi (don't worry I didn't actually clear the shelf) and brought it with me to my volunteering at my towns food pantry. • Same thing as women. Eat less calories then burn.
  • Cherys - can I say how absolutely lovely it is how you are responding to the various members input. It is nice to see someone ask a question and then think about and consider the answers. To then use that information towards determining actions. It is so nice and makes me feel so happy. Thank you.
  • Are you tracking what you are eating? Do you weigh all your solids to the g and measure all your liquids that contain calories? How many calories does mfp give you for losing 1 lb a week? Are you only eating back half tour exercise calories? Are you using a trend app like libta or happy scale to see weight trending lines?…
  • Fyi for those who think this is going away with warmer weather that is influenza viruses not coronavirus. Think about a summer cold those are coronavirus. They are different types of virus. Also this is currently spreading fast in warm as well as cold climates. Also this is more infectious then the common flu. Every person…
  • You are eating at gain 1 lb a week. I would start by doing a month just focused on eating at maintenance. Then drop it to losing 1 lb a week. It will feel like a lot easier switch if you do t have to do such a change all at once. Also pay at least a bit of attention to what males you feel full vs hungry. For example large…
  • Ok switchwords are the idea that if you focus on a word you will somehow stop eating like the word Cut will somehow cause you to eat less. Personally I think it is useless and puts the focus of your effort not on how to learn to eat less and burn more but to instead focus on the unrealistic idea of a word. Any method where…
  • That is such a kind lovely idea.
  • Athijade How about parsnips, turnips, beets, carrots, kale, squashes of all sorts, Cabbage, bok choy, celeriac. They are all easy to prep similar to things you already eat and delicious
  • Those are ones with fancy prizes paid for by advertisers. If you want to do one in the forums it is a matter of simpky posting in the forum topic.
  • Yes . It is easier. I usually bring oranges to work in my lunchbox measuring the ring separately is a hassle and the small amount of variation is not something I worry about. Also I am not convinced that the measurements are all for peeled oranges.
  • What does mfp give you as your calorie goal when you put your stats in? Eat that much
  • Logging does get faster as you do it. Also I make it a policy to pay closer attention to the calorie dense stuff and less attention to the low calorie foods. For example i will log kale in cups but would never log butter without weighing it.
  • I find it is helpful to remember it took me a long time to gain the weight and it is a lot harder to lose then gain so it will take longer to lose the weight. If you have 40lbs to lose and next spring hit your perfect goal weight that is a ton better then burning out returning to what you were doing and then next spring…
  • We are all trying to comsume proper nutrients, feel full , and eat delicious stuff. For some folks protein powders help with that others find them not to work for them. If you want try them and see if they help you meet your goals. Hype or anti hype is less key then do they help you achieve goals
  • 2lbs a week is a huge amount.
  • If your medication affects your dietary choices you should talk to a doctor and their recommended nutritionist.

Also give it time diet and exercise changes can cause water retention this is a plan for life and that means give it a while. Also just…
  • Sparkling water with a squeeze of citrus is a good sub for me for soda.
