Thanks for the advice. I've disconnect the fitbit for the moment whilst I try to establish the correct calorie intake for the day using my TDEE plus a small surplus, which to be honest I'm struggling with at the minute. Currently eating 3000 per day and still losing weight.

I'm currently doing SL 5x5 and so far so good. My macros are 45c 25p 30f although I do try to stay under the fat and slightly over on the carbs. Calories intake is 2800 which is based on my TDEE plus 200 to get me in a small surplus. Drink lots of water around 4 litter a day I've taken a lot of advice from the community…

What was you calorie intake whilst doing it?
-
Mine is open to friends if you want to add me I'm happy for you to take a look.
-
Thanks you. I'm aiming for 0.5lb per week until I get to 12st 6 then assess it again from there.
-
That's my point, I know I lost to much weight to fast hence the muscle mass, I went from 14st 8 down to 11st 8 in just under 5 months, I've now got the task of building the muscle back which I lost.
-
Wow you did it in 12 weeks nice work, I've been doing it for 6 months and don't have abs anything like you.
-
Agreed if you think you can do a minute of HIIT between weight your not doing you HIIT workout correctly, I can't breath once I've done a minute in my HIIT session so defo wouldn't be able to lift after it.
-
So if I want to leave my fitbit what would I need to set the calories on the app to ?

No photos

That's what I'm currently don't on a lean bulk. What to gain 8lb then reassess then. I was only asking because a lot of people say not to bulk until your down to 10% which I'm not that low I don't think.
-
Looking around on the internet at other photos of 12% and the measurement I've been taking I would probably say between 11-13%
-
I Get it in both mine, I've reduced the weight and upped the reps on my curls etc and it seems to be helping a little
-
I'm like you when started I'm having to eat 2750 per day and still not gaining but then I'm 6ft 1 and current weight is 162lb with a 30.5" waist.
-
I always enter the total as the rest periods are still part of the training, I may be wrong but I'm sure someone with more know will correct me if I am.
-
I'm trying to achieve the look of the left and at the minute on a bulk and progressive lifting programme then will look at cutting towards the end of this year. my current is 2750 cals perday based on 45c 30p 25f and in the last 2 weeks managed to gain 0LB :( just looking weather I need to up to 3000 per day.
-
So have you only gained 1lb in a month? How are you doing it i.e. whats your Marcos, and what you using to weigh yourself
-
I work out on my own in the garage so it's difficult to get someone's opinions on my lifts I have filmed myself tonight and can see I need to do some work on them.
-
So my TDEE is to maintain is that correct? If I want to gain I would still need to go over by 250?
-
It did ask my exercise level which I put it as moderate 4/5 days a week. That's what I thought. I've been going off my MFP and adding in my exercise cals which I think is way too high.
-
I did the same thing and currently on the average of the 3 estimates and then will reassess in 4 weeks to see how it's going. I'm trying to gain thought so different to your circumstances.
-
I barcode 90% of my food and then check it on the food scales the other 10% is from the entries on the app. I'm not to fused as it's only 40 ish calorie a day and I'm trying to gain so in a surplus anyway! Just don't want it to be to big.
-
Working on that basis how does the app work things out incorrectly? I always seem to be 40 to 50 calories out from what the app says doing the calculation based on it.
-
Depending on what bar you have, most people don't have a 45lb for home use which is what the app will start you on, so you will need to calculate the weights correctly, I know mine is only 20lb so you will need to add weights to start with the minimum. You will struggle with the programme very quickly if you don't have…

Thanks for all the input on this it's much needed. Just done my dead lift session with 120lb felt quite light but I think the form is improving, just need to remember where to look and not straight forward.
