I ended up doing quite a bit of housework yesterday because I really felt better. Also ate one actual meal, but only very small snacks besides that... so obviously I am still eating too little. I should get back to logging as soon as I can put up the energy to do so. Today I am back at work. The worst symptoms were gone…

I couldn't get myself to do anything. But I am very slowly feeling better, so today will just be the same goals. 1) Eat one actual meal 2) Drink 1.5 l of water 3) Do one housework task

I went to the doctor, because they said my results were there. Well, the only part that was there is the information that it is not norovirus. Nice to know, but what does that help me? Doctor did not want to do anything but wait it out at least until Monday and wait for the rest of the results. So why did they ask me to…

I had a long post written yesterday, but then my non existing attention span kicked in, I had to look up a word, opened another tab to do that and in the end closed the whole window instead of the tab. So all was gone and I did not have the energy left to try again. I also had forgotten the word again I just looked up…

I am so behind with all of this... hope everyone here is alright! The first days of this weeks were kind of busy, so I didn't log and just logged on here to keep the streak. And since Thursday a horrible gastroenteritis struck me down, so I am only just back on grandmas beef broth and some bland diet stuff. :# I guess…

Sorry I kind of disappeared this week. The conference really took up all my time and strength. No logging, no goals. I will be visiting my family this weekend, but next week I am officially 'on holiday' from work to be able to write and just generally get stuff done, so I will be back there and reading up on everything…

I can see where you are coming from, but I think learning to cope with this is part of the educational experience. Work life won't be freedom, unlimited budgets, happy bosses, small companies and the such for most people either.

That was a nice day. I went to the market first, looked around, ate, bought bread and cheese (truffle pecorino) and grapes for a decadent dinner and tried to use my rusty Italian (but failed, mostly). I also have an eccentric (mirabelle and rosemary) jam for breakfast tomorrow. Oh, so yum. And I stayed in my calorie…

Self care is very important. I am speaking mostly for my own here, but wanted to say: Don't let yourself get sucked into the guilt spiral. Yes, there are things that need to be done, but self care is an important step in getting them done, not an "Unnecessary delay". So, go for it. Take care!

@HGSmith0920 Get well soon! Take all of the rest and comfort food and cuddles you need. @MLHC1 Congratulations :D I hope it will be a relaxed pregnancy and happy baby. @OConnell5483 No! Don't touch that ice cream. You can have one serving. The rest will stay. Let me portion that out for you... Here it is finally Saturday.…

@Saragirl2 The migraines can be triggered by weather changes, but I am sure this one was just caused by all of the stress of this week.
-
I weight (nearly) daily to learn about fluctuations (and in the worst case, see a trend before it settles), but I only really 'count' it weekly.
-
To keep it short: I wondrously did everything I planned yesterday, but did it with a migraine. And there is no relief yet. Did not sleep tonight, still have a throbbing migraine and lots and lots of stuff to do. 1) Go to all three talks at work 2) Lunch with friends 3) Scout conference location to figure out how many of…

I sweeten my oats with 3-4 g of honey. Then often I do add raisins, which add sugar and sweetness, but it works just as nice without. Just oats, honey, milk and some vanilla. Otherwise, you can have a savory breakfast just as well. I would say generally your best bet is to prepare them yourself, even if you need to take…

@Nony_Mouse is so right. You gain nothing if you are weak and shaken in your bridesmaids dress. Looking good is much more than just losing weight, especially than "losing weight fast". If your skin does wobble because it can not keep up with your weight loss and your body is out of proportion because you lost all the…

@PrincesseAly23 I remember the administrative tasks from when my grandpa got dementia. They definitely are the worst. All those things you have to do and remind yourself they are for their own good but hurt so much. I did some research into those things for my parents, because that's what I could do, being a student in a…

I am so hungry, but I don't feel like cooking. Uh. Now I wish I had some frozen pizza to throw in the oven or something quick like that. But I don't. I only have healthy fresh food that I need to prepare. Or ice-cream.

They acknowledge that the best option is weighing food. But let's face it, we can't always do that. I can't do that at work without making myself the laugh of the kitchen, neither in a restaurant and also not on a family event. I cannot bring a food scale everywhere. But a bunch of little cubes sounds much easier. Not as a…

Timing won't do that to you. But eating late could make you lenient with logging (tired, hungry, let's just eyeball the portions).

Oh wow, what was it with yesterday! I hope everyone is okay and not too badly hurt. Bf also hurt himself yesterday and had to get stitches. I am so worried. I would have loved to check on him every hour to make sure he doesn't have a concussion, but I am too far away. I begged him to write me first thing this morning so I…

@josephinebowman Bad dreams are the worst. I know how this feeling after a bad dream can just stick with you for most of the day, no matter if you remember the actual dream or not. Definitely get your medication adapted. Actually, I would try to get an earlier appointment to do this than wait for 8 weeks. Please take care…

I try to stop eating at least an hour before I go to bed, but just because I feel it makes me fall asleep more comfortable than when I feel stuffed. But that is not any fixed thing, I usually do it, but I don't take too much effort to do it. If it does not work out, it just doesn't.

I was planning on just surviving a stressful week with no additional tasks or plans... well. Got an email tonight from one of the people I applied with (and wasn't invited for interviews). There is another fellowship with an application deadline on Friday to be with his group and he asked me if I'd be interested to apply.…

I would say it is perfectly normal. Both the meds and just life. Nothing with being crazy. More like hormones. Is this my life? is a question I have been asking myself often through my life and very often lately. Or 'Is there something left of me?' Crazy questions, but as far as I know perfectly normal. At least for people…

1) Be productive at work :( Had a medium size shock early in the morning which somewhat stalled my efforts. 2) Prepare reasonably for the meeting :| Okay, I would say. 3) Do not whine to yourself in your head all day :) I was basically way too busy. But now I have a slight headache again and somehow all my muscles hurt…

I hope you either mean something like 'under 2000 calories' or '200 under your goal'. Otherwise, I would be worried.
-
I don't want to be discouraging. I understand you are hurt and you struggle. But it sounds all very passive for me. You watch it and you expect others to change what happens. What about, if he texts you he misses you answer with 'I miss you too. Let's have a nice dinner/a romantic walk in the park/a movie night/...…

And on average you are just fine. Congrats. :-)

So, last checking. I failed at going to the gym, being grateful and writing thesis. Somehow yesterday everything hurt. At least bf is normal again. :| At least I tried. I will try again. 1) Go to gym three times. 1/3 2) Be a loving girlfriend. No fighting if I can avoid it. 6/7 3) Get into a more grateful mindset. Put…

I need to set up my goals for today. I just want to stay at home and sleep. For some strange reason, the sole of my right foot hurts with every step and it starts to creep up my foot. Which makes my quite uncomfortable, although it does not hurt that much. Let's try: 1) Be productive at work 2) Prepare reasonably for the…
