Depending on where you are, find a good local archery shop or club and discuss with them your interest. Most shops will setup a bow for you to test shoot so you can find what you like and what works for you. Heck, if you were close, I'd give you a couple of recommendations. As for myself, I'm an avid Archer. I shoot…

Every time I saw the previews, I kept thinking it was a remake of Jaws. I'll still probably go see it. But, seems like I'm not too far off the mark.

Why do you say that?

Unfortunately, I don't have that level of knowledge for CA vegetation. But, a quick search seems to confirm your answer for a few plants it seems. One of which is the Eucalyptus. I won't get into the topic of importing wildlife/vegetation by state agencies, that's a whole different discussion... ;) I'm originally from CA,…

The sad part is that CA either burns, or washes away in mudslides depending upon the season. April '17, I spent a weekend in an area just north of Fresno and there was almost 4" of standing water. Just a couple months later, it was burning. What typically causes the fires are things such as lightning strikes, discarded lit…

This past weekend did an MI movie binge. Fri/Sat was MI:3/4/5 and then Sunday I watched the newest on IMAX in the theater. Thought was the best of the series.

Last concert: KISS Next: Uncertain, haven't really bothered to see who's playing

If the lanes go all the way to where you are forced to merge, then you're not "cutting the line" nor budging. If you feel that way, then you shouldn't be on the roads. Think of it like grocery shopping with two lanes open. Are you going to stand in the longest line or are you going to hop in the shorter line? You're going…

Actually, it's been found that people who don't know how to properly merge, or allow those to merge in, are the ones that cause issues. It's like a zipper, two separate lanes merging seamlessly into one. In fact, they even put signs up that say to "use both lanes during backups". Why? Because it compacts cars into the…

I'm holding off watching it until I work my way through the entire series of movies. Will be watching MI:3 and probably 4 this weekend. Watched "Death of a Nation" last night. Interesting movie, and wasn't quite what I thought it would be. But, food for thought, and regardless of political leaning, I think worth watching…

I'm going to focus on these parts... He works "crunch" hours, and you don't. You say it's already been a "few months" and "maybe a few more months" left. Sounds to me like it's a permanently mandated schedule. Definitely not conducive to a budding relationship, especially when there's many things stacked against it…

Still doesn't say "2k18" :p
-
Has anyone tried to sign legal documents with that yet? ;)
-
I'm still stuck on why someone would type "2k18" instead if "2018". Not like it saves any characters. :p

It's definitely a lot of fun, and I use it to plan trips and travel across the US shooting at different events and tournaments. Good luck with it!

I think you'd do quite well with it given your other hobby. Different style of shooting. Best part is you don't have to spend all the time cleaning up afterwards. Not to mention the ammo is reusable. ;) Always looking for people to go to the range with, and enjoy introducing people to archery. Open invite if we're ever in…

I'm much more of a recreational shooter than anything. Mostly skeet/trap and paper targets. Some hunting. Really should get to the range more than I do. But, I enjoy archery much more than I do firearms. Do you shoot archery at all? Agree with you about meeting some of the best people have known through the sport (for both…

Awesome! Looks like a good mix of long range, three gun, and other types of shooting.

I'd consider myself a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to various hobbies and skills. But, one of my passions is archery. I make these To shoot various types of these At many different types of these: Sometimes, I miss..

Just like riding a bike, don't forget how. But, the skills aren't as polished. I've been riding off and on for almost twenty years, with the last 11 being on closed-course or off-road riding. Each time I get back on the bike, I take time to relearn and do some skills courses before going full-bore again. Have zero desire…

I used to buy the cheap ones. But, have found that Yankee Candles have suited me best for scents, etc. I usually buy ones that are more neutral scented. Though, I do have some holiday ones such as pine, cinnamon apple, etc.

Was a good movie! And, agree. Most of mine are far from his character.

Been a long time since I've been in a bar. But, every time I've been approached by a lady or two, it's been a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, I'm too thick headed to realize they were flirting with me and thought they were just being friendly.

I really wish I knew wtf was running through your head..

It's not really a book. But, I think you should read this. ;)

As society moves on, and technology continues to evolve and integrate heavily into our lives, we're slowly losing our humanity. By this, I'm referring to things such as interpersonal communication, empathy towards each other, meaningful and true friendships, and a slew other aspects. Why? Because while we have these "great…

Haven't participated in the thread. But, I try to follow the Tour here and there. I think it lost some appeal to me because of all the doping dramas. Saw something yesterday about lead rides getting affected by tear gas used to disperse farmers protesting?
