I'm saying it's closed-minded such as those people would have. My point is that everyone talks about being tolerant towards a people of <insert demographic> group. Yet, when it comes to relationships, NIMBY rears it's ugly head and said tolerances don't apply. Perhaps I should add "Innocent until proven guilty" to my…

Really? Kind of a closed-minded view, IMO. What if the wife knows of the female friend? They get along. But, not as close as the opposite-sex friend? Is that still indicative of problems in a relationship? What if the wife hates fishing, hunting, etc but the friend does? If she implicitly trusts him, and there's no reason…

How else are we going to get time to play games? ;)

We like to make you think that... ;)

For the record, it was a reference to what Cap said to google, and in bad (no pun intended) taste. Apologies for it. Hopefully your work filters didn't pick up on it and flag you. Incognito tabs do little more than not save cookies or cache files on your system (provided systems rules override them). The real thing to…

Far too true. Most people suffer from multiple personality disorders when it comes to online vs IRL

Is this the Lucas you're looking for?

You disagree, and say that you are a "girl that just trusts her man". Yet, you prove my exact point in that you feel there is an ulterior motive from him, or sometimes from his female friend.

We're both right, in that they both do occur. Just, our experiences have been different. I have had some female friends take advantage of me as well. I'm usually very open to meeting people, and being cordial with. But, I'm also very guarded in regards to letting someone in whether it be good friends and especially any…

 He kind of sounds like me, at least in the dork and platonic aspect. The difference is that the close female friends I have now, they're the ones trying to hook me up with a lot of different women and I just sit there and blush.

Yes, it's all a part of life and how many people meet. Just like in real life, things may happen and a relationship may come of it. It's happened here a few times, just like elsewhere. As mentioned before, I've flown to meet someone who I thought might have a serious relationship with. But, in all reality, chances of a…

Yes, the significant part of a "crush" is it potentially becoming more than just friendship. It was the way you worded your previous one that I was questioning since it seemed like you were calling a friendship a crush. I have a lot of people I'd call friends from here, or other online communities, that I'd enjoy meeting…

I've purchased a plane ticket to go meet someone before. Was on a different community/forum and we had been talking for quite a few months before we agreed to meet. But, we were both interested seeing if it could go further (it didn't). Now, it's entirely different if someone is travelling to an area for a completely…

Define "click with" further please. A crush is someone that you may want more intimate or emotional relations with, along the lines of a relationship. Object of desire if you will. The way you describe it, that is more of a friendship. Or, beginnings of one.

Man, it's been a long time since I've posted in the thread.. (Immediate post above doesnt count. )

This meme reminds me of something I once read years ago: "A boy yearns for a woman to love. Over time, a man earns the love of a woman."

As someone who moved from SoCal to MN, it isn't that bad. Get used to it, and find things to do in the winter. My winter hobbies are shooting archery leagues indoors and downhill skiing. I do ice fishing occasionally as well.

Been a couple of years since I've ridden, more due to lack of time than desire since I don't ride on the street anymore (last rode on the street in '06 when I had far too many "near misses" from inattentive &/or aggressive cagers). But, have ridden trackdays on sportbikes and SuperMoto. Also ride motocross, harescrambles,…

I used to makes backup copies of my CD's to keep in my car. That way, if the car was ever broken into, or the inside got too hot to warp the discs, I wasn't out the originals. As to old people problems: I refuse to think I'm old, and keep doing events and activities people half my age do. It just takes me a bit longer to…

Not everyone does. Actually, I would venture to guess few actually do have ulterior motives. Most of the people I've met over the years, and various communities have been pretty standup individuals. We meet either as groups, or as individuals because of friendships made. Some might have had more than a friendship be made.…

I've met a couple of people in person from here, and both were very nice and happy to have had the opportunity. Would meet up with them again. As mentioned before, some people may not be what they are like on the forum. I learned this from other online communities I've been involved with over the years so tend to be very…
