What is a "cleanse" meant to do for you that your own body can't already do? Just wondering.

You look amazing! Well done on your amazing achievement! I'm a shortie too =D I started at 251 and I'm around 231 now. You've given me inspiration! If you don't mind me asking, what workouts did you do? Keep up the awesome work!

I didn't, when i was younger i thought it was the size of the food. Say if I had to choose an apple vs a cake around the same size, i wouldn't have chosen the apple... but this is when i was like 11. People aren't magically born with knowledge and not all schools teach nutrition. I was lucky enough to have a good teacher…

I think your mother is really pushing it, to an unsafe goal and if she does that, the moment she goes on holidays and starts eating carbs again, she'll put on all the water weight from that and then once she starts eating over her BMR she'll put all that weight back on again and probably more. Her BMR right now would be…

I also feel awkward. Part of me feels it's because I don't want to remember having been so obese but I think it's also because there are a few people in my family that follow fads and when I have told them what I'm doing in the past they gang up and start bitching about how that's wrong. So now when anyone mentions it, I…

Are you being 100% accurate and weighting all the foods you eat? Sometimes we can underestimate how many calories are in the food or the serve we're about to eat and so we don't lose. I'd suggest getting a food scale and measuring everything. Have you been diagnosed with anything wrong with your thyroid? If so, maybe you…

I think you're focusing on the number on the scale rather than what you'r body is made up of so you're gonna have a bad time.I have no idea why anyone would want to be underweight. At the end of it, you won't be able to eat all that much and you'll probably still be skinny fat. Why must you be 100lbs? At 5'2 i could not…

Don't worry too much about the gym for now. Focus on weighing all your foods and counting your calories accurately. I find that if i pre-plan everything, it's much easier to stick to it. Once you've got that sorted and it becomes a habit for you, then slowly start adding in work outs you enjoy. Pushing yourself to do…

I was told that wearing corsets and waist trainers prevent you from building muscle. You might look good in them while wearing them, but they're not going to give you any permanent benefits. Might be best to stick to diet and exercise.

When i did 5:2 i would still be able to walk 8km(5miles) and i had no problems but i honestly wouldn't push yourself on a fasting day. Just do things you enjoy =) I tend to get really cranky if i don't get my morning walk.

I have a whole bunch of goals i hope to gradually meet as I move through my journey. I'm hoping to lose enough to have my knee surgery. I'd like to get down to 200 by xmas. I'd like to be lighter than my partner. I'd like to go on a plane and not feel like i'm stuck in the seat. I'd like to be able to wear bathers again,…

I went down from 240 to 200, in keto during my first time around and that took around 3 months i think. I kept losing with just lowering calories for sometime but then i went on a vacation and dropped everything i had learnt and went back to my old ways >.< I'm doing low carb again now to help me get back on track

I did the first time i lost weight, I went from 240- 200 in 2 months, then from 200 to 190 in 1 month and I was losing a good 8-10lbs per month right up until 160 where i stalled for 3 months but i didn't gain, the weight just didn't budge but my clothing size still went down. I dropped my calories by another 200cals and…

Congrats!!! Well done on all your hard work! You look great and i bet you feel great too!!!

I think it matters on a whole bunch of factors. There was that morbidly obese guy that survived without food for over a year but he was under medical supervision. Every so often they'd give him supplements like Potassium to prevent his heart from stopping and his organs from shutting down. On the other hand there are 1000s…

You can gain more than 2lbs per week of you eat enough. I've easily gained more from a binge. If you didn't count or weight the foods you could have very well gone over, even if you think you've been eating only 1200 calories. I doubt however that you gained 30lbs in fat in 16days. It's probably a mixture of swelling,…

You might find you don't crave certain foods on a Keto diet. But eating keto doesn't make you lose weight. You still need to create a caloric deficit. If you like the low carb lifestyle, you can do that with a caloric deficit and you'll lose weight. If you find you don't like it, just do the caloric deficit and you'll lose…

I gained a good 60lbs in a few months on anti depressant meds and I know it's 100% because I was sleeping all day and when I wasn't sleeping I would binge. I was so upset I blamed the meds and my GP and went off them and continued to have more issue and gain more weight. I even started drinking again, getting down a bottle…

My sister used to work for the government and they'd contribute $350 every 6 months towards fitness. Which could be a gym membership, personal training, work out equipment or gym gear. I think it's a great Idea to keep people fit.

The first time I lost weight I lost over 100lbs. I was pretty sure i'd need to have some skin removed as a had a good few inches hanging off my tummy and my arms. I decided to ask a professional and they told me to keep eating well, keep hydrated and keep going to the gym and then we'll talk again in 12 months. The skin…
