  • Being a little OCD is critical to long term success with this system IMO.
  • 19, 061 steps Caliories under All logged
  • Try it in your mid 70s!! LOL
  • I just use my fit bit to track the time played and heart rate, don't worry about the calories. I get more than enough calories with 12-15,00 steps a day, plus dumbbell routine a couple of times a week. Pickle ball is my most demanding and most enjoyable activity for fitness. Almost makes up for being too slow to play…
  • Canadian Air Force fitness program is very good, for both men and women, plus adjusted for kids and elder adults. I used it for several years in my 50s, and now using it for rests between dumbbell exercises. It is very good for core strength and for cardio.
  • Back on track! Exercise, yes. 11,260 steps Calories well under Everything logged
  • Fresh cut hay, in the field when you are surrounded by it. Fresh roasted coffee beans, just when you open the sealed package. Dead bodies decaying in the open.

  • Oh, almost forgot! Pass #2, for me.
  • Exercise great, over 2 hours , 15246 steps. But calories over, due to the good wine. Tracking was pretty complete, enough to document too many calories. We did produce a new, nutritious mini muffin yesterday. Pumpkin based dough, with one whole red grapefruit blended in, skin and all, with ginger. Unusual but delicious…
  • Great day for exercise, including two hours of Pickle ball, but the wine with the lasagna did me in on calories. Pass #2 for me.
  • Good day today. 13,061 steps Calories well under, right where I aimed Every morsel logged
  • Killers of the Flower Moon, by Margot Lee Shatterly
  • Pass day #1 for me. Did great on exercise and pretty well on logging, but too many calories. Do better on the 8th!
  • New steps record for me, 23,536 steps! And I played 2 hours of Pickle ball, with a very significant heart rate. That was after shoveling snow for 50 minutes before breakfast. Possibly overdid a little bit today. Calories were great, hit the deficit I planned on. Everything logged
  • A good Monday, 13242 steps, plus some good stretches and dumb bells. Stayed within calories but still need to increase my deficit level a bit more. Everything logged

  • I am back! I have made some good headway since New Years, got involved with some other challenges, tightened my belt by a few more notches and am now ready for the steadiness if the UAC. I will start logging here on Thursday, and fully intend to log every day in March. Great group of people here!!
  • Well, I was alive in the 40s, and my farm family (5 kids) almost never ate anywhere but home and school lunch. My wife and I started hanging together in '57, and we had our first real restaurant dinner in1959 at a Holiday Inn in Boise, Idaho, and it was a cultural experience! By the 70s we were in Cambridge, Mass, and we…
  • I wear my Fitbit while playing, tracking it as "workout". It seems to be useful for tracking heart rates and times, but it grossly over estimates calories burned. Like a lot of activities I just leave it out of MFP calculations, and feel good about the work and movement. So long as I keep losing pounds and inches, I don't…
  • Thank you for the very useful information.
  • In Madison we go to mostly smaller, high quality restaurants that have excellent food, but no nutritional data. I try to order dishes where I can list the component parts and get fairly accurate calories, and at the same time opt out of empty or too high calorie sides and sauces. Works pretty well and I get to enjoy…
  • My granddaughter mentioned that my body profile was about the same as President Trump. Time to change for the rest of my life. More seriously, I looked at my mountain climbing pictures from 1991, when I last weighed 190 lbs, and decided I would feel and live a lot better if I got rid of 75 lbs of fat and increased my…
  • It's a tie! Really good steak, medium rare, usually tenderloin, or homemade, real, beef chili!
  • I just really like wine and whisky, don't really need any triggers, or maybe just everyday life is the trigger. My life is better with alcohol, just not so much as I had grown into drinking. Have no interest in going AF, just want to be under control within a healthy and fit range. And, thanks to MFP that seems to be…
  • Once you have learned and habituated your needs for calorie level, as opposed to wants and thoughtless eating, and you have learned the actual caloric content of most of your regular foods, there is no further need for formal counting, But, yes, you have to be aware and make appropriate choices for intake and output the…
