Only 6,679 steps today, but also 30 minutes on stationary bike.

Another good day for me, no booze, or wine! Keeping a stemless wine glass of crystal light lemonade in my hand really helps me to keep focussed on the goal, while satisfying my need to sip.Four more days til Thanksgiving!

Spent most of the day at my granddaughters swim meet. She improved free style 50 by 4 seconds!! Much improved start. Just finished 30 minutes on the stationary bike, and managed log 6,679 steps in a little over 1 hour active time. Great on calories, over 300 below budget for the day. Everything logged.

No alcohol today, good nutrition. Gonna try to make it to Thanksgiving now without wine.

Exercise:Did 20 minutes on Nordic Trak, at new higher speed. Felt good. Also got in 10,016 steps and almost 2 hours active walking. Much better. Well under on calories, with excellent macros. Everything logged.

Yep, just as much as usual. Losing weight during the holiday season, rather than gaining again, is the initial motivator for me in starting this quest. Thursday will be a strong indicator of how successful I will be through New Years and the ski season.

I made it, but not by much. Nearly two hours of activity, so that was good. Barely made the calorie limit, too much wine. Everything logged.

Two glasses of cab last night, not terrible, but not what I intended. Had to have red wine in the chili recipe, and then, you know, had to see how good it was. It was good, too good!

Only 9685 today. Gotta do better tomorrow.

Nov. 14 10,785 steps, an ok day, given the schedule.

Multi grain bread, homemade pepper relish, fairly thick, sharp cheddar to cover the bread, buttered on both outer surfaces, and slowly grilled. Best if eaten with a nice hot bowl of homemade roast tomato soup. Makes a Wisconsin winter evening much more pleasant!

10,282 today. Good walk at the dog park this morning, cold but no wind.

Back on track today, even though a lot of driving for wife and granddaughter. 10,282 steps, plus 20 minutes of stationary bike while watching tv, over 2 hrs of activity. Well under on calories Everything logged

Exercise Yes over 20 minutes, but not up to what I intended. Disappointing weekend. Calories, stayed under by a little over 100, but that was using the few I hazdf from exercise. Gotta do better tomorrow. Oh, yeah, did log the whole mess. Onward and upward! Uh, I mean downward! heh

Always walk outside, down to -20 below zero, so only a few days per year not outside. All those layers require more calories, in my theory! heh

11- 11-17 6,014 steps. Not good, but something on a messed up day. 11-12-17 Only 2313 so far today, but 20 minutes on Nordic Trak and 30 minutes on stationary bike, so burning some calories and maintaining deficit. Hard to focus with football and tennis on the telly!!

Well, the wine order arrived and the gaps in the wine racks are filled. Now we see how effective the self control, helped by these challenges, really has become. Keep on keep'n on!! So far so good today.

I only drink black coffee and espresso shots. Not even thinking about stopping. Just cutting way back on the wine and whiskey will be enough. I hope!

Boobs and brains, not necessarily in that order.

No diet, just focus on nutrition, and log absolutely everything to maintain the needed calorie deficit. It helps that I get to plan and cook the majority of food for our 4 member family, and we eat very little prepared, canned or frozen food. CSA veggies help in the effort also. CICO is the logical, mathmatic reality for…

Had a great restaurant meal tonight but still got in 9,113 steps and one hour sixteen minutes active. Made it barely under calories limit, but used no exercise cals, so deficit is fine. Every thing logged. Keep on keep'n on!!

Good news and bad news today. Bad news is one glass of wine asnd one harvest ale with a delicious dinner at El Dorado. Good news is the great food and that limited quantity of alcohol and no feeling of need fort more. Doesn't hurt that I have to be up at 6 AM to leave for a swim meet! Also stayed within my calorie budget,…

9113 today, bit of a slacker day, but still an hour and 16 minutes active.

We don't do, unless we can overdo! (Family motto) Operate on the principal of "one free bite" assuming that everyone is positive and working with you when first meeting them. After the first bite never give that person an opportunity to get in a second bite. Never Applies to both dogs and humans.

Personally I am doing great, and feeling better physically. So glad that I found MFP and these challenges a few weeks ahead of the holiday season. The holidays have been a pattern of uncontrolled eating and drinking the last few years, resulting in significant weight gain when I was already overweight. Now this season I…

No alcohol today, but my wine order did not arrive either. Bigger challenge in the near future.
