And December closes with a bang. I wasn't going to go running today but I realized I had signed up for a challenge and I needed to run a 8 minute mile or less. I swear if someone was watching they probably thought I was running for my life. I was pumping along so hard that when I hit the one mile mark (7:45) I didn't…

That's how I make my son a ninja mask. Lol

Haha. I don't like running in the grass cuz I swear I always find that hidden dip in a fluffy patch and twist my ankle. Also people don't pick up after their dogs and wet poop just sinks into every crack on the bottom of my shoes...so gross. Lol

@RunsOnEspresso @PastorVincent Thanks guys. That is good information to consider. As for the travel time, im only considering races that are within my area. I went to race finder to help determine which ones i want to sign up for but have been somewhat discouraged as theres a button to register now for some events but when…

Another 6.5 miles down. Ran the same route as yesterday hoping to improve my time but my pace was much slower, probably cuz I decided to run in the grass.

So I think I'm totally pumped and ready to signup for my first race. So my question for y'all would be how exactly do I do that? Lol. Also, how do you determine which ones you want to signup for. There seems to be at least 3-4 every weekend

January here I come. Im gonna make my goal 100 miles but im gonna try for 120 since I pumped it out for December. My family said I looked like a "real runner" so now I have to go harder. Lol

Improved my 5km time by almost 3 minutes. 6.5 miles with a steady 13 minute pace. I started running to get back into shape and I've ran more this month than I probably have since I stopped playing basketball. I'm so ready and pumped for 2018.

Actually before I joined this group I ran without music but i also just ran to make sure that i got in all my steps for the day. Music helps me to keep a steady pace plus it helps to block out all the distractions in my mind. Plus I know I look happier running singing along then just running alone.

Not even sure how many miles I actually got in this morning. Lol. I had just hit 5 miles and I decided to open up my maps app to see about taking different routes back home when my phone died. My music is what pumps me up and keeps me going. Ugh, talk about a motivation killer. Lol.

Pushed myself to hit that 7 mile mark as well as running that last mile with no stopping and I didn't want to die after. Definitely having a winning morning. Lol
-
@shanaber my motivation comes when I feel my body starts to hurt and my back starts to lock up. That and I don't like looking like a hunchback walking around. Lol

Was so close to reaching 7 miles but the urge to pee was too great and I had to tail it home as quickly as possible which helped me make better time. Started the month at a 16 minute mile pace and now I'm at a 12 minute pace. Who knows by the end of this I might make better time than I did in high school and college. Lol.…

One full week done. Started week 2, technically day 8. Decided to bust it all out this morning and added a nice little 6.5 mile jog, wanted to get out before the winds pick up and the smell of smoke it too much. Almost didn't want to get out of bed as i felt like I died yesterday but no pain no gain. I'm gonna try and…

Just finished up Day 4. While these challenges are kicking my butt, it's definitely keeping me motivated and full of energy.

Can't seem to get my ticker to update correctly. Maybe it's my phone. Lol. Anyways, was feeling motivated so I went out for a short little 1.5mile jog for a total of 3.7mi today. Super pumped for tomorrow's run.

Day 4 halfway done. I do the countdown and hour glass in the morning with half the suns and then in the afternoon/evening I do the boot camp plus the rest of the suns
