Yes it does feel like a lot considering how freaking long it takes to lose weight when you're within a normal BMI! I am also most likely going to aim below my target like you are to account for this. Sigh.

I've noticed that when I switch from deficit mode to maintenance I go up 4-5 lbs which is also frustating because I was 132 lbs ( I am 5'4") and now I am sitting at 136 lbs for the past 2 weeks. Like you, I want to lose more but I am taking it very slowly now with a 250 calorie deficit for my last 12ish lbs.

Yeah I was saying that to myself but I wasn't really expecting to shoot up 4 lbs of water weight so quickly with it looking like it might not slow down. My irrational side is winning this fight so far mainly because these last 18 lbs over the year have been a struggle to lose and any regain would be devastating to me at…

I have an IUD which has nearly eliminated my period (well any bleeding) but I do get the side effects of one such as cramping and a little bit of bloat. The most I have gone up from period bloat is 1-1.5 lbs, it doesn't seem to affect me as much as it does other women.

I have averaged a weight loss of 0.5 lbs this year so far but I am not always hitting 1200 calories a day. Maybe I do need the buffer since I eat out frequently but I swear the amount of food I eat on a day to day basis seems miniscule. I will give it another 2 weeks to evaluate how I am doing. I have myself set as…

I've tried setting a weight loss by a certain date multiple times only to have it backfire and disappoint myself. It's hard to predict weight loss out over an extended period of time and I learned this the hard way. Best to focus on your day to day goals and let it happen on its own pace.

I don't but clothing items that are several sizes smaller than my current size but if I am in between sizes I opt for the size down that is snug and I know will fit me in a few lbs lost.

I used to get winded so easily when I was my heaviest from doing normal routine things (including walking for longer periods of time). That is no longer an issue and I am so relieved.

Quaker coconut and caramel instant oatmeal. It did not taste like either caramel or coconut. Disappointing.

Get to my ultimate goal weight of 120 lbs and start a progressive lifting program. Trying to get somewhat toned for summer of 2020 :)

Just out of curiosity then, did you get onto MFP to lose weight? Because if you did then I do not understand how you became overweight in the first place when you "only view food as fuel".
-
This has totally been the case for me right now....So frustrating :(

I am 7 pounds away from my second goal which I plan on making the high end of my maintenance range once I reach 120 lbs (my ultimate goal weight) which is 12 lbs away for me.

Currently it is my pumpkin cream cheese muffins I made. In general, it's tough for me to only have 1 slice of pizza....french fries as well I like to eat a decent amount.
-
I made these pumpkin cream cheese muffins and it's been really hard to only eat one at a time :D

I usually bring dessert to my husbands thanksgivings family dinner. Thinking of bringing caramelized butternut squash and pumpkin cream cheese muffins.

My relationship with food for most of my life was healthy in my opinion. I maintained a weight around the low end of BMI while eating to satiety and including treats every now and then. This lasted until I had to go on an antipsychotic medication which in turn skyrocketed my appetite. Now I feel as though I am constantly…

I don't think it is weird. I eat whatever I want in the morning as I am not particularly a fan of 'traditional' breakfast food.

My husband notices changes very easily so he would always mention whether I was looking smaller. I visit my family every 2-4 months and in my first year of losing weight they would mention it almost every time I would visit. Nobody at work mentioned anything until I was down 40 lbs, it all happened around then and has not…

I prefer cappuccinos and cannot drink straight up coffee on it's own. I don't drink them very often though.

I tend to treat myself with new clothes when I hit certain milestones and it helps since I would need better fitting clothing at those points. I have never chosen food as a reward for weight loss goals though.

I am this way too ever since starting my medication that increased my appetite substantially. I find the best way to ignore the urge to eat is to occupy myself with some sort of activity. I know it is the side effect of my meds because I don't PHYSICALLY feel hunger, I just want to eat. It has driven me a tad bit crazy…

Yeah like others have mentioned, there is no reason to believe your instructor or anyone else for that matter unless they can prove their standpoint scientifically.

I bought a huge 400 piece bag of halloween candy that has reece's cups, kit kats, jolly ranchers, and maltesers only to have the city tear up our sidewalks and edge of roads this morning. What a great trick or treater deterrent! As you can tell I am pretty sad about this .....more candy for me I guess?

Really craving some asian food...

Dang that's disappointing.

Yeah this is common nowadays and can even happen within the same brand. Like others, I have to try on everything before buying and rarely purchase jeans/pants online.

The weight loss progress is due to how much of a calorie deficit you are in. Nothing wrong with slow progress as it helps to teach you lifelong eating habits along the way and doesn't cause you to burn out.
